Absolutely yes. What he adds off the field is invaluable.

Helps kick the can of drafting a WR high down the road. We have enough needs already.

Maybe as a #4....we need a brand new #2 and #3....I laugh when people say that Gallup is suddenly going to regain his speed and get faster with another year of recovery under his belt. The dude is toast, and never should have been given a big deal....and don't even get me started about Oh No-ah Brown.

the combination of at least decent production + the impact we've heard he's had on the WR room in showing them (And I assume TEs) what a true professional acts like and the wisdom of his experience seems very worth it.

Take the best receiver in the 1st round! Or quarterback. Sick of playing around! Dallas is a friggin JOKE they lose to Tampa!
So then they're picking desperately-needed O-linemen, LB's, DTs, and CBs in the later rounds? That sounds like it's going to deliver problems as well...

1 year deal, heavily incentivized with low upfront guarantees.
Yes, definitely want him back with that type of contract. That'll keep OBJ away and his 20 million asking price. I'd rather have an older Ty Hilton for less money than a slightly younger OBJ for big money and 2 ACLs.

He's 33 and will turn 34 mid-season. At some point father time is going to be hitting, especially with all the injuries he's had.

I find it hard to believe we can't replace him with someone younger. WRs grow on trees.
Problem is no one has found those trees or the running back trees either

He will be fine in a limited role next year if he returns

In all seriousness now. Next season I start with a corner. 2nd round. Defensive tackle run stopper. 3rd. Run stopping true MLB. 4th wide receiver. 5th Oline.
6th...O-line. 7th DT or corner... Of course, draft changes if a guy drops you really love at any position. But if I'm GM. I'm going pretty heavy on defense in the draft. Free agent a tight end. A wide receiver and a Defensive end. I promise I'd be no Cap Boy like Stephen. Wouldn't over spend. But spend I would do.

...and i'd do that Hilton deal late summer in a panic .

i tend to think because he was signed so late in the year, his 33 yr old body did not suffer the beating and wear tear it would have at the very start of the regular season year.

He has 30 catches in his last 13 games. He isnt kicking any can down the road
I like having a veteran WR that is a multi-time Pro Bowler on the roster to help the young WR core.

They only need 1 older WR.
- Hilton or OBJ, not both.

The Cowboys are almost certain to either sign a big name free agent WR or draft one in the top 2 rounds. WR is the opposite of DT in cap boy era. They will use both draft capital and cap space to get WRs.

Meanwhile 280 pound Odighi is their top DT (started all 17 games and played the most snaps).

I agree if he needs a large contract, but if we could get him on a 1-year low contract I think his veteran experience could help our younger wide receivers, especially since he has been doing that already.
