I knew it was going to happen and I always allow it. I tell myself do not get too excited about these preseason games. Well, Romo's offense and the first team defensive played roughly a quarter and Im all hyped watching them and then here comes Brad Johnson and the second team. I say to myself "grrrrrrrrrrrr" and the letdown begins. I just wanted to see the team play and Im sure your the same way. This is why I hate the preseason, its such a tease. I still say game one and two should be for draft picks and 2nd,3rd,4th string players. Games three and four should be for the starters to play the majority of the game. The ones who impress from one and two get to play in game three. Opinions, thoughts

It is pre-season time for coaches to evaluate players and get starters into football shape. What I saw last night is pretty much the case each year with starters getting 1 or 2 series. Next week they may get a little more time, the 3rd is normally used for dress rehearsal so the starter will get a lot more time and on the 4th you back down from the starters because you don't want to go into week 1 banged up.

Players would agree, coaches on the other hand want it because they have to cut a roster from 85 to 53 players and these games help them make some hard choices.

Yes...I'm at a loss as to why more people don't understand this.

And if it did get shortened to 2 weeks...it wouldn't be long before someone would be calling for no preseason and just step from training camp to regular season.

It's funny how alot of us like to play 'scout', yet don't slow down and enjoy the opportunity to perhaps find the diamond in the rough.

The older one gets, the less he gets excited about the pre-season RESULTS. Care to take a guess at what the 90's superbowl teams pre-season records were?

The only thing that stunk about last night was that this was a pre season game, not a real game.

We saw a focused and excited team that played well against a team many think is a Super Bowl caliber team.

There's reason for optimism. There's reason for pesimism. There was an injury we didn't need. But the only thing that stunk about last night is that in reality we got nothing to brag about.
