We never went to nickel with our first team unless it was 3rd down. We played base and did a damn fine job.

Roy was a stud.
Newman was a stud.
Glenn was an incredible pickup.
Ware continues to pressure even while gimped.

Just really happy with our defense.

And that's without Fergy and Spears!

We've got some serious potential on Defense.

yeah i said in a thread before the game started that i wanted to see the secondary pick it up a notch and see either newman or henry with a int. i thought they played extremely well back there.

I have alot of confidence in what I've read. If there is a pre season game to read into, I hate doing it, it's usually #3...I didn't see the game, but it seems like we played well again.

What I like is that now it seems like this D has got 2 legitimate playmakers in Roy and Ware. And that combination may help turn Tnew (or somebody else) into the 3rd.

It's just preseason, but our defense has allowed 26 points in three games -- the best in the NFL.

Really? I keep telling myself it is preseason so that really doesn't mean anything. So why am I :D so much?

We get pressure and turnovers the two things we could not get before lets hope it even gets better :)

Sounds like the Boys did pretty good on the defensive side of the ball alright!

I do wonder though which safeties will make the cut. Questions for anyone who saw the game. HOw did Coady play? Do you think that Coady played well enough to unseat Beriault due to the fact that BP is concerned about the health of Beriault?

It's a given that K. Davis and Roy Williams will be on-board, but Coady, L. Scott, Beriault are still on the bubble. Who do you see making it?

I'd definetly keep Beriault, and based on tonight's performance, Coady. I think I'd want to see him in another game before making a final decision though.
