You know what? Winning in the NFL is TOUGH

And I think that's magnified by the fact that at week 5, we have no undefeated teams in the NFL. We are one of four teams in the NFL who made the playoffs last year and now have losing records. That doesn't include the 3-2 defending champion Saints, who look extremely pedestrian on both offense and defense.

It's not an excuse and this coaching staff is on thin ice with me too, but all I'm simply saying is that it's a long season and we aren't the only really good team that isn't playing up to its potential right now. The good (and bad) thing about it's not because the COWBOYS are being outplayed. If that were the case, we'd have a real reason to worry - but all the mistakes we're making are absolutely self-inflicted.. so the thing is, there's plenty of time to turn this around and if we don't, at least we'll know that this team has nobody to blame but themselves.

We know, on any give Sunday. However take a look at a few of the teams with better records than the Cowboys: Raiders, Rams, Cardinals, simply should not be. Also the Giants dismantling the Texans did not make me feel any better about the one victory.

Not playing up to potential and losing is one thing...but the way this team is consistently finding ways to beat itself is why the losses are so bad. The other teams just aren't that good...the Cowboys are.

Right, but that's what I'm saying. It's been a weird season so far and some teams that should be good aren't. A lot of our problems are self-inflicted, stuff that I believe we can sort out. If we were flat out getting beat, then I'd really be more worried than I am now, but it's a long season and I think teams like us and the Chargers and Saints will eventually sort it out.
