You know what worries me, someone could get hurt in practice or the team charter could crash.

I am not worried about Cooley unless they pull Brunell. So far this year Cooley hasn't done much. he only had one reception against us in the first game and has only one game this year of over 50 yards and that was against the Texans.

Cooley can be a huge weapon but Brunell isn't getting him the ball this season.

The only thing that worries me this week is that we might take the Commanders too lightly and come out flat (which we do all too often).

That was a big criticism of Saunders' offense, he doesn't use Cooley's position. A lot of people speculated that he would go largely under-utilized this season because of Saunders. Perhaps that is the reason Cooley isn't putting up numbers. No doubt he is a great player. I guess Witten was in the same boat until Romo took over. Perhaps Brunell, like Bledsoe, regressed and can't find him.

Brunell typically avoids throwing over the middle which is generally where you use your TE/H-back.

Ya know, it's pretty sad to see how some people feel the need to jump all over someone for expressing an opinion.

Anyway, yep...Cooley must be accounted for...but I think the Commanders are starting to unravel...

3 TD's in one game vs us...

That was in one game that we failed to show up for.

Cooley's stats in the games we have faced him:

2004-1: 2 for 22 0 TDs
2004-2: 3 for 24 0 TDs
2005-1: 2 for 20 0 TDs
2005-2: 6 for 71 3 TDs
2006-1: 1 for 23 0 TDs

Other than the 2nd game last season he hasn't been much against us. I'm not too worried about him. If we show up we should win this game fairly easily. If we come in flat it won't be just Cooley who beats us.

Actually, they should be more worried about covering Witten than we should be about Cooley.

Over the same period Witten stats are: 21-193-2 while Cooley's are: 14-160-3.

He only got that 1 catch this year in Garbage time. I remember a Foreskins fan in the offseason said we needed a Chris Cooley stopper, judging by his career stats against us, we must have a few of them!.

I dont think he was jumped on. If you look at the stats below... I just didnt see any MAJOR concern because of one game.:)

I disagree with this completely. Saunders did a great job with Tony Gonzalez in KC. I think he knows how to utilize the TE position in his offense.

Maybe the problem is that the Commanders have only gotten to page 2 of Saunders' 700 page play book?

:laugh2:
