Darrin Nelson one of the 5 veteran players the Cowboys got in the Walker trade refused to play for the Cowboys because they were so bad. Several games into the 89 season the Chargers picked him up. When they released him after the 90 season he noticed the Cowboys appeared to be up and coming and reports have it that he called Jimmy and asked if could play for them now and Jimmy hung up on him.
