I was born in DC and live in Maryland. I will never stop loving beating the Commanders.

They were just starting to get cocky again about being in 1st.

Im with you there.

NOTHING

And I mean NOTHING is better than beating them in their house. Walking out of their stadium witnessing the misery and dejection of all those idiots wearing burgundy and puke gold is priceless. Must be a great time to be in Old DC.

I guess after 20 years of watching us win nothing of significance I don't see it the same way anymore. And heck Washington has been so irrelevant for the last decade+ I don't hate them nearly as much as NY or Philly.

I laughed so loud when Jackson caught the TD with under a minute left my wife actually walked in from the next room to see what was up. That is where I am with this team.

My lunch tastes the same. My beer is the same temperature. Because beating a 5-7 Skins team is just the same ol' whatever compared to last year when the wins actually counted towards something bigger. This was a who sucks least contest. Yay?

Waaaahhhh! Someone give this guy a tissue!

Yet you still watch the games and you still come to this message board to talk about it even thought you don't care.

Go figure.

If you are into instant gratification, then more power to you. Me personally, I like looking at the big picture and the long term health of the club. If we manage to win a few more games we could be picking in the teens. If we manage to somehow make the playoffs, we'll be picking in the 20's. Huge difference between picking from the top 5 - 8 spots to the teens and more so in the 20's. And I'm not just talking about the first round. Last time I checked, there are 7 rounds and draft position affects every one of those 7 rounds.

If Romo was still healthy, then I'd feel differently. He isn't. Expecting Cassell to carry us for the next 4 games is unrealistic.

I get that no one likes to lose, but the system is set up to help those that do. If you are willing to swallow the bitter pill that is the 2015 Cowboys season, then you increase the chances of your week going faster, lunch tasting better and your beer staying colder for years to come.

This team can't tank. There was an article on this board about it. Asking the players to not win tells them they aren't good enough and will mess with their heads for next year. Also jerry has all but said he isn't drafting a Qb high. So there goes that idea immediately.

I agree with the OP. And you sir may just like to watch football because nothng else is on maybe or maybe you own your own business and don't have to go into an office with a overload of Washington Fans waiting for your arrival to talk smack! I loved the win and walked into the office this morning like a BOSS! 4-8 or 16-1 to see the look on their faces was priceless! And when Desean caught the TD to tie it i didnt laugh i yelled and said Claiborne you DAMN bum!!!!!

Any win is great but a WIN vs the deadskins is just down right special!

AMEN! And I get the negative downers. I mean, I'm happy we won; I don't think it means anything, and I do lament the possibility of dropping out of the top 5 in the draft, though we are far too early to say that. We win, I'm happy and lament the draft selection. We lose, I'm sad, truly, so I comfort myself with the draft selection.

But I have to seriously wonder what goes on in the mind of any fan who could Cheer when the Skins tied the game or were praying and pulling for Bailey to miss that FG so we'd lose. (BTW, I'm not saying the guy who laughed at the TD was actually happy...that's just an ironic laugh at the whole season, and I get that). Were there fans actually cheering for the Skins to score? Celebrating Jackson's TD? Hoping Bailey would miss the FG and all the players would be heartbroken and sick...all over where we end up in the draft?

A team isn't just a star, a stadium, or even Lombardy Trophies. A team is made of men who want to win so badly that they go out there with cracked ribs, sprained ankles and knees, concussions, dislocations, and they battle to win. YES, our team sucks this year, but how can one not be happy they defeated their most hated arch rival in their own stadium? We can lament the draft thing, but how can you not be happy for the TEAM?

People have to live in this area to truly understand how it is here when the skins feel they can win.

I can complain about stupid plays/players. I can complain about bad coaching. I can complain about bad players. I can complain about bad refs. I will NEVER complain about a Cowboys win.

I just don't get it either. If they don't want them to win, how can they even watch the game? As a Cowboys fan, I can't imagine having the mindset or emotion that I hope they lose while watching a game. If you truely don't want the team to win, you have to be rooting for the other team and rooting against the Cowboys. That just seems foreign to me.

I agree from top to bottom and this is exactly how I feel as well.

I liked it, but man did both of those teams look like complete garbage last night. This division is really down this year.

I thought the defense had about their best game of the year.

I really don't understand he draft pick thoughts. We still have the same owner/gm, same staff that just about every one is complaining about.

It's kinda like trying to make less money so you pay less taxes next year

Instead you could earn a lot more and just hire a better accountant
