1. In the Cowboys practices with the Broncoes, several denver players said, because of all the hitting, all of the dallas cowboy players didnt seem like they liked all of the hitting, so shoving, hitting, penalities occured.

Just as an aside, anyone have the source or actual quotes for this?

I figure it's too many hours listening to "smoaky"... :D

Whats funny is Smoake who is an admitted Commanders fan is waaaayyyy more level headed than this guy

Mcbriar is the unsung hero. 57 yard punt! Must have been the mile high air. Another excuse for boys performance. Anybody thats had altitude sickness knows teams from Denver have a big advantage.

Nice post Asthma...

Players aren't "robots". Outside influences do affect them, both positively (Denver) and negatively (Dallas).

well, lets see, when the cowboys played the chargers, they had one of the best return men and punt return men in sproyles;

denver is well known for not having a great punt returner or kickreturner

the same can be said for houston and the vikings;

the test on special teams will be against cleveland

now how did the cowboys punt and coverage teams get better? Was it wade phillips that said we need to fix this problem, no, it was jerry jones.

when wade phillips was first asked about adam jones returning punts, wade was reluctant to play adam jones on punt returns. Then, when it was mentioned to wade that jerry jones said he wanted to see adam jones on punt returns. Wade said, well, maybe one or two returns.

It has been jerry jones that stepped up and said we have to fix this punt and kickoff coverage. The Cowboys spent an extra hour and about 20 minutes working on that. Before that good ole boy wade was content to let special teams coach run it and not do anything.

Last night, after press conference, good ole boy wade said, we need to fix this defense, there was no pressure on the opposing QB. And you could tell looking at wade reaction during the game on defense, due to the poor tackling, the poor exchange of penalities, which comes from lack of execution and fundamentals of tackling in scrimmages.

Again, good ole boy wade was walking around, not hardly doing anything.
Yet, special teams had to be fixed, now defense needs to be fixed.

Thats my point, time for being good ole boy and just walking around, chriping is over with, its time to put up or shut up.

Wade did the same thing at the end of last year, in december, no pads, no workouts or checking on the offensive linemen to see if they were doing their cardivacular work, etc.

Its time to wake up people. A head coach that has been to 4 different teams, and never had won a playoff game, there is a reason. Now, if it had been one or two playoff games, I would give Wade Phillilps the benefit of the doubt. But 4 playoff games and no playoff win.

Next, when Denver bronco players say that the cowboys acted like in scrimmages that the cowboys players didnt like to be hit in tackling and in live scrimmages. Something is wrong. Its kinda like Jimmy Johnson said, what do you do with a big gorilla, you hit him with everything you have.

What is the team going to do, when they run up against that big tough physical team, that can play for 60 minutes, and then maybe some more. If you go back and look at most of why the DAllas Cowboys won their games in the early 90's one main reason besides talent. They were built to believe they could win, and they would win, and they were built tough to go against big tough teams, and that the big offensive line of the Cowboys and the speed of the defense would run over teams in the 4th quarter, just like the giants did to the cowboys last year in the playoffs.

Its endurance people, stamina, being able to play for a full 60 minutes and win in the 4th quarter.

Thats what I am saying, I dont see how this team can have that, when good ole boy wade phillips lets them off in camp, camp marshmellow in fact, with no tackling in our camp.

So, I am saying again, when the cowboys fold in december not being able to keep up and have that stamina, that extra gear to go the distance, with rhythm, dont blame me. I told you what is going on.

CJ you keep saying the same **** over and over. Nobody is even reading your posts anymore. You are acting ridiculous.

Yep... players know when a game means little or nothing and they can't help but play accordingly. The Denver players knew they'd be measured against what they did last night and they played all-out.

Hopefully, when the real season arrives, Dallas will play all-out. I can't wait to see Felix with the starters, catching Romo's passes in stride.

It's going to be a thing of beauty, IMO. :)
