Without a strong coach Jerruh casts a long shadow/how much is HE to blame for the December swoons that started in the late 90's?

Of course we did not do well under BP so maybe looking there is not the answer.

Wade is a non entity so do not bother - a place holder and nothing more.

Our so called DC the same. Garrett= well a lot of the luster is off of HIS rose as well.

As weak as all too many are on this staff its not all on them.

BP once called this team dumb and I am beginning to think he is right.

Dumb is bad; undisciplined is worse = and lack of heart is WORST of all.

Now we had a fairly untallented team up untill a couple of years ago so the past could be fairly blamed on a lack of talent. THAT IS NOT THE CASE now.

Clearly there is no real defensive leadership and not much on the offensive side either.

So there you have it from the top on down a lack of leadership, discipline and heart. And dumb as well.

Top down is right - as long as the top is GM. The GM's biggest decision is usually the head coach, because from there, the identity of the team descends. But not here in Dallas, because the head coach here is a puppet, and everyone works for Jerreh. And because of that, the HC lacks respect and control over the direction and cohesion of the team. How many coaches do we have to go through before we start noticing the guy hiring a new coach every two years is the problem?

Of all attacks on this team, I do not get the "lack of heart" attack.

We are in every single game we play. If we're down, we always make a late run at it. This team has heart. It's had heart since 2005. It may have trouble winning huge games, but it's not because of heart. If I'm honest, it's usually because of a few bad breaks, every time.

No its a lack of heart because then they would be really down and really angry at the losses and they are NOT.

I like to believe that if Bill Bellicheat had our players - he would finish much much better than 9-6 at this point.

I do not know of any business or orginization that starts at the top when it comes to any type of restructuring.

The blame is usually cast upon the bottom dwellers, and as they get past the mid level guys then to the upper tier guys start making excuses for them...and by the time they get to the top just say everything has been taken care of and give themselves a pat on the back and a nice big bonus.
