I think we've seen the last of an effective full time Romo, sadly.
He'll make a valiant comeback attempt next year but age and injury will derail it once and for all.
Tony for all his gifts is just not destined to reach the mountaintop.
I think tony plays one more year due to his contract and I don't know how well he will play then in june of 2017 he will retire or be released.
I think both will retire at the same time. Whether they are both on the Cowboys at that time remains to be seen. I think Tony has 2 more years in him to play at a very high level. Maybe less if they actually draft a QB high in the draft. I think Witt is about done. He loves the game, and he is a great Cowboy but he can barely run anymore and his blocking as seemed to regress this year a lot. I think he will play another 2 years but not sure if he will be effective much longer.
IMO Witten plays longer. People may knock his stats but he's an all around TE that does block as well.
I just can't imagine Witten is going to stick around after his bestie is gone. It seems their contracts line up to.
His blocking hasn't been so great lately and with the way teams defend us we desperately need a TE that can stretch the seems.
He can still work all the short stuff but he is regressing.
To be fair to him though, he may be playing with a lot of injuries that are slowing him down. I heard he has an ankle injury.
I hope Witten (for his sake) gets traded to a winner to have a chance at a SB. He deserves it after putting up with this team for so long. He's been a hell of a contributor on and off field and should not be under the yoke of this franchise any longer.

I will never, ever understand this mindset. Are you a Cowboys fan or a Jason Witten fan?
Hey, I sure hope he leaves here and they win and we don't.
