You think Romo and Witten retire at the same time?

I think Romo will be forced into retirement due to injury. Witten will play until he has grey hair.

I think tony plays one more year due to his contract and I don't know how well he will play then in june of 2017 he will retire or be released.

I think both will retire at the same time. Whether they are both on the Cowboys at that time remains to be seen. I think Tony has 2 more years in him to play at a very high level. Maybe less if they actually draft a QB high in the draft. I think Witt is about done. He loves the game, and he is a great Cowboy but he can barely run anymore and his blocking as seemed to regress this year a lot. I think he will play another 2 years but not sure if he will be effective much longer.

IMO Witten plays longer. People may knock his stats but he's an all around TE that does block as well.

I think we've seen the last of an effective full time Romo, sadly.

He'll make a valiant comeback attempt next year but age and injury will derail it once and for all.

Tony for all his gifts is just not destined to reach the mountaintop.

It's just so messed up to realize romo and witten won't get rings. It's like Stockton and Malone all over again for me.:(

Maybe he will retire but he won't be released for two reasons. First of all, Jerry is stubborn to admit that he's done and second of all...his last restructure all but guaranteed he is on this roster for two more years.

People have been saying Witten can barely run for 5 years but he still get it done
I think both have a couple years left and probably go out the same year and Witten comes back to work on the staff while tony ends up on tv somewhere or home making babies

His blocking hasn't been so great lately and with the way teams defend us we desperately need a TE that can stretch the seems.

He can still work all the short stuff but he is regressing.

To be fair to him though, he may be playing with a lot of injuries that are slowing him down. I heard he has an ankle injury.

I just can't imagine Witten is going to stick around after his bestie is gone. It seems their contracts line up to.

I hope Witten (for his sake) gets traded to a winner to have a chance at a SB. He deserves it after putting up with this team for so long. He's been a hell of a contributor on and off field and should not be under the yoke of this franchise any longer.

I recall him having rolled both ankles and may have dinged up his knee. If so they may have him just running short routes by design due to injuries.

I will never, ever understand this mindset. Are you a Cowboys fan or a Jason Witten fan?

Hey, I sure hope he leaves here and they win and we don't.

I don't like what your saying but it's on point. Romo's back and his other injuries will only weaken his quick release and the speed on his throws. He's also going to be less elusive and wary in the pocket making him an easy target. Unless JG changes up the offense (which he has no mentality to do) Romo will be a sitting duck and he'll be done before the end of next season.

Hey I want something in return for him to make this team better. His best days are gone and Dallas has at least a few more years to rebuild before anything can happen to get this team playoff ready. They are not going anywhere with this current regime.
