Cougars Lose Two Signal Callers for the Season Keenum and Turner Suffer Season-Ending Injuries

University of Houston head football coach Kevin Sumlin announced today that senior starting quarterback Case Keenum will miss the remainder of 2010 with a season-ending torn ACL knee injury. Additionally, junior back-up Cotton Turner suffered a fractured clavicle also resulting in the end of his play this year.

With his 2010 numbers, (Keenum) ranks among the top-10 in the NCAA in five career categories -- 14,448 yards of total offense (7th nationally), 13,586 passing yards (5th nationally), 107 touchdown passes (8th nationally), 1,626 pass attempts (10th nationally), 1,118 pass completions (7th nationally).

No kidding... I was watching the game at D&B and almost passed out when Keenum went down.

Got distracted and next thing I know, a black QB who I'd never seen before was running the offense.

All I could say was kill me now..

On a side note, UH dropped the prices on their football tix. So it'll be cheaper for cheap alumni like me to go.

Stinks for Houston. They were primed to make some noise this year.

You have no idea...

Maybe Broadway will make the kind of impact that Kolb did when he led the team a true freshman in the Briles era.

Sorry about your QB's but that UCLA/Houston game as the only thing that went right with my weekend. Going in I was preparing for another Bruin loss and a Cowboy win. This weekend has the possibility to be a lot worse though.....
