One really big positive I thought was Schottenheimer play calling and design.

When is the last time we see that much use of motion? That much use of various packages?

Actually designing plays to help get guys open rather than just relying on them to win their one on ones.

Also the run scheme was nice. Utilizing some nice pulls. Utilizing misdirection. It was a nicely designed run game.

I thought Schottenheimer brought a lot of new fresh designs to the offense and was very happy with his offensive plan. Honestly he called a really nice game. Player lack of execution was the only issue with the offense in the second half. Drops and fumbles.

I was concerned Schottenheimer's playcalling was going to be Garrett-ish with a lot of safe out routes and comebacks.

I loved his commitment to the run game and I liked that he challenged the defense downfield despite the pressure Dak was getting.

It will be interesting to see what happens once the league gets familiar with his offense and how he adjusts.

Not to be a pessimist, but no score in the 2nd half, that is something, if Fangio can figure him out in one half , with tape most DCs will gameplan.

Granted we had the RZ fumble, and CDs drops.

Lots of positives last night.

Dallas looked more disciplined. The run defense settled down late. They ran the ball. The pass coverage was excellent. No sacks allowed. Dak looks healthy.

Take away Miles Sanders' fumble and a couple CeeDee drops and Dallas would have spoiled Philly's night of celebration. I agree with Schotty- there are no moral victories.

But if the Eagles are the best team in the NFC, the Cowboys proved they are not that far behind.

Eagles did next to nothing in the 2nd half either. The game turned into a defensive duel. A year ago the Cowboys would have got blown out.

I don't recall any pre-snap penalties. Is this right? If so, then it's been a looong time since we've seen a game like this. Despite the loss, I feel good overall about the performance. They barely lost to the reigning world champions, not some scrub team.

Honestly I think that was the issue more than scheme or play calls.

The plays were there. The players just didn’t make them.

I also love his clock management so far.

This is a different team but the QB is the same whether you want to see it or not, on the last play Pickens was in the middle of the field one on one, but he preferred to throw to CeeDee who was dropping passes and had 2 men. It's the same as always, the evidence that the main problem is Dak-ancer, his bad decisions, and not knowing how to solve plays under pressure, that hasn't changed and it won't change until Dak-ancer leaves, it's going to be more of the same but now without Micah.

and only 4 penalties. I was always ripping MM for the excessive amount of penalties, so I need to be fair and credit BS with having his team disciplined. Nice work.

I was gonna say are we giving Fangio for the fumble and 3 drops?
