Yes, of course they extend him. If winning the SB is the only criteria for extension then Reid would have been fired from KC long ago(took 7 years to win the first SB), Shanahan would have been fired from SF, Mcvay would have been fired before the 2021 SB (his 5th year there), Sean McDermott would be fired, and Kevin O’Connell would be on the precipice of getting fired.I think that team will do what it thinks it needs to do. Lurie, like Jerry Jones, is up in years and has to believe his team should be winning Super Bowls. When is the last time Philly kept a coach on the final year of his contract? They won’t go with a lame duck head coach because it’s a stupid thing to do if you’re trying to win. You think they extend Sirianni if he doesn’t win the Super Bowl? You know that team better than anyone else here.
McCarthy was making 8 mill a year.Because Lurie will out-pay Jerry
After the 2022 SB, teams were asking to interview him for OC positions, so Lurie just gave him a raise to what he’d be paid as an OC so he wouldn’t leave
The fact that McCarthy was only making somewhere between 4-7m$ means Jerry likely pays even less for a first time HC, and that wouldn’t be unreasonable to pay for the best position coach in the NFL
Is Lurie confident Sirianni can coach that roster to a Super Bowl win? “winning the Super Bowl” isn’t the general criteria for whether an NFL head coach keeps his job. It may be Lurie’s and Roseman’s in deference to Sirianni. His winning percentage is significant, particularly with the turnover in OCs and DCs. No offense meant, his behavior and demeanor are peculiar.Yes, of course they extend him. Sirianni has made the playoffs every year after taking over a 4 win team, is on the verge of his second conference trophy, and is the fifth winningest coach who ever lived. He’ll get a fat extension this offseason even if we lose Sunday
Hell, hire the homeless guy I saw in San Fran who was beating his feces with a belt in the middle of the street to be HC. Can't do any worse than whoever Jerry hires.
His demeanor is preferred by the front office. That is a media creation; Roseman loves himIs Lurie confident Sirianni can coach that roster to a Super Bowl win? “winning the Super Bowl” isn’t the general criteria for whether an NFL head coach keeps his job. Needless to say, if he’s fired he won’t be out of work long. And the list of guys wanting to coach that roster will be long and distinguished.
Jeff Stoutland is the offensive line coach and run game coordinator. He's 63 now, and to my knowledge shows no interest in being a head coach, much like another former excellent coach, Jim Johnson. Stoutland has a great situation in Philly. Roseman keeps feeding him raw material, and he keeps cranking out Pro Bowl lineman. Lurie will pay whatever it takes to keep him. I'd love to have him here, but it's not going to happen.Id prefer you to them, and I dont like you
But thats not what I am talking about. Im telling you that the either the NFL has no interest in Stoutland as a Head Coach, or Stoutland has no interest in being a Head Coach.
If he's not up to the challenge, we shouldn't want him. He's not an idiot he wouldn't come here
Yep, middle of Embarcadero near Pier 7. One of the most insane things I have ever seen.he had his belt off in public?
