Well, I would have shopped Romo this past offseason, for one. Love him or hate him, think orhe's good but not great .... this team isn't going to be ready before his window closes. Obviously I would have shopped at least Witten, as well.

I still might do it this offseason, but you won't get as much as you should have.

what i think i'll see in this post are a lot of people doing the very same short term crap that got us here, but hey, i'll hire someone else and we're done.

a lot more thought will be required.

I would simply acknowledge that I -- like Jerry Jones -- am a mere fan who doesn't have the necessary background to be involved in the personnel side of things.

I'd hire Jimmy Johnson as a consultant to help me interview and locate the best possible candidate to install as GM/VP of Football Ops.

I'd give that guy carte blanche to do as he sees fit.

Then I'd get the hell out of the way and watch the money roll in.
