First of the DE’s Anae and Carter
Both of them looked really good last night. Anae plays with a reckless killer instinct. I didn’t mind the penalty. He was in the QB’s face at least three times that I saw.

Carter just looks like a DE. He played really well and sacked the QB.

Wright looks like a smooth suffocating corner. The guy covers like a blanket.

Cox looks fast and I can see this kid on the field a lot covering, TFL, etc. Seems super intelligent the way he can read plays in the backfield.

Parsons……..sometimes in life you get a player in sports that makes everyone else around them look normal, while they make everything look so easy. Parsons is that dude. This guy will be taking over games soon this Fall folks.

Maybe we can trade a few of the DE's for a DT if needed, as well back up OL.

Stephen Jones was right about the 65 player comment. Unfortunately, most of those guys arent oline/d tackles lol. But some positions on the team will have tough cuts

With the rookies, remember there is a chance that you are gonna have some amazing plays, and some amazing mistakes. It's about taking them both while they are developing and hopefully cut the mistakes as they get experience.

It was nice to see pressure from the backup pass rushers. Armstrong, Anae, and Carter were all very active and getting pressure. Unfortunately the interior DL showed no such spark....which was our biggest problem a year ago. Odiggy has flashed some and I think will be good, but even though he excels at holding the point even for his size, he just cant do it full time. Bohanna has not shown me anything to get my hopes up. So it looks like unless something happens it will be Watkins and Odiggy starting with Bohanna, Urban and Hamilton backing them up. Doubtful that Gallimore and Hill will be available to start the season.

The LB crew looks ready...outside of Jaylon. I just think he physically can't do it. People have pointed to the one play where the RB got outside of him...it is painful watching him trying to get up to speed. I can't explain it, but there are times he looks like a missile, and others where he looks like he has a piano on his back. LVE looks fast and he demonstrated his ability to play off blocks last night. Parsons is all over the field and Cox showed out pretty well last night too.

Corners...I trust Diggs, and that's it. No one has given my confidence that they can handle the other side. I do feel that it can't be Brown. He just rarely ever even competes for the ball. At least Joseph and Wright turn and look to make a play. The two big passes completed on them both had the WR push off. The one against Wright was blatant and I cant believe it didnt get called. Textbook pushoff. The one last night against Joseph was a little bit less obvious but the receiver did push off and gain an advantage without a doubt. I can take that from a player that shows upside...Brown just shows constantly he can't play outside. He and Lewis should be fighting for the slot. I didn't notice Canady last night...how did he look?

Bo is never gonna be a flashy player
He’s a space eater and I think he can develope well there
But that’s what he is and something we needed

You forgot Armstrong who had an amazing game.

It's an embarrassment of riches.

Have to include Armstrong who is only 24. That's his best game action as a Cowboy. Obviously it's preseason so we'll see but maybe the staff's patience with him is paying off.

Yah I thought all those guys looked good. Might have been the state of the Oline for the Dlineman. Even Armstrong looked like Haley out there.

I thought LVE looked bad last night. Watching him and Jaylon is like watching the same guy to me. Jaylon being the worst of the two.

That was a bad penalty by Anae.

It was beyond stupid. Those are the type of boneheaded mistakes that keep drives alive and potentially hurt you in regular season or the playoffs. The spin was incredible, launching your head into the QB was not.

I also don’t see what others see in Wright. I think he could be a pretty good situational, zone CB but people acting like he’s just dominating out there……

I will add big Bo and Osa to the list. I think Bo is going to be a VERY good 1 for us. He is more athletic than I thought.

Osa has been all over the field in both games. He is an ox too....like what they did in this last draft defensively!

Anae can really rush the CB, but he needs to learn to play the run. Also, he sometimes leaves his feet when he is making a move on the DE. That is a really bad habit. He needs to keep his feet on the ground.

Wright does look good and so does Joseph. I know he allowed that big play to Kirk but that was a little bit of a push off, just like last week when Claypool pushed off Wright. Joseph will learn not to allow that with more experience. He has the gifts to be a really good CB, and I think he will be.

This team has pass rushers. What they lack is the strength and power up the middle. But it is hard to tell with so many younger players in the game. I like the Cowboys scrub RBs. They run with speed and power.
