Our defense is so young that it’s mind blowing. Granted, that it’s not a shutdown defense at the moment, but the fact their so young and have time to grow. It gives us time to fix the safety and DT position before they age into their later years.

Sean Lee is the only player I can think of who’s over 30 years of age.

Offense is generally young too...

Especially the CB and LB position. It’s enough to make other teams drool. With BJones having an All-Pro year and Jourdan Lewis/Cheeto coming along in their second year.

As an added bonus the Cowboys are slated to have $69 million in free cap space for the next offseason!

This team has a bright future, if we can get rid of Garrett and have a Top15 or Top10 Draft pick.

How does the DT position need fixed?

1Tech. 3Tech is good, with good depth. 1Tech and safety can be upgraded to become an Elite Defense

To become an Elite Defense, I think we need better players at 3Tech, Both safety positons, LOLB and maybe LE. Not saying those current players are horrible, just saying upgrades to bring it to the next level.

People are finally consistently talking about safety position I’ve waited so long lol

It's easy to field a young team. Young and talented is tricky.

You don’t believe we’re Young and Talented for the most part?

Besides WR,TE and Safety (QB is up for debate). I believe we’re pretty skilled...

Youth isn’t always a positive. We stink at WR and TE collectively.

It makes it easier for us going into the Off-Season having so few positions to worry about. Knowing that a lot of younger guys “should” improve.

With our 69million in free cap space and having all our draft picks. Things look pretty good for us to grab talent at those positions.

Oh yeah, guys this year’s free agency is loaded at Safety and WR. Perfect for us! If u have the time go look at the potential free agents at our needed positions. It’s like the football gods are finally back on our side.

Talented in areas and lacking in others. They need almost an entire new set of skill position players including the QB. A 1 tech, another starting LB since Lee is always out and a S. Could make a case for a 3 tech as well since Collins breaks his foot every other week and Irving can't possibly be relied on.

That's a lot.

I don't think what's being highlighted here is our receivers though. Its how young that defensive unit is.

I think to become elite the players they have now are going to have to take that next step. At some point LVE is going to have to get even better then he is as will Jaylon. Same goes for the corners.

You can't fix every hole. By the time you fix all your holes on defense then another hole will pop up.

Landon Collins
Earl Thomas
HaHa Clinton-Dix
Lamarcus Joyner
Tyran Mathieu
To name a few of the safety’s for next year’s free agency class.

Randall Cobb
Devin Funchess
Golden Tate, to name a few for the WR’s

We have the opportunity’s, it’s all about if we take Them or not. If we just sign two out of all the guys I just listed and then draft the rest for needs (TE,DT,LB,Wr again)

I'd keep drafting for need and playing them, keeps the salary cap in check - No high dollar FAs please

as for perceived off season needs I wouldn't draft for ... OT is still at the top of the list - Fleming and or Green ... that's too dicey.
open to all non-draft options

WR is an odd thing - they are throwing to 5 or 6 WRs a game - how high a pick do spend for a WR if you aren't looking for a go to?
Beasley and Gallup may start next year, Austin likely will be here too, and Wilson does have rookie contract.
That makes 4, and you really do need fast big WR - draft or FA? I'll go draft, high draft

as for other positions I want to draft a day 1 starter at for sure - just FS

would a mauling D1 be nice too? sure ...

but what we see now and 10 games from now are 2 different teams

WR is where we don't have youth. I don't think they stink. They would work for our offense if we used them better. The speed guys are just what the doctor ordered for the base offense, to provide enough threat deep to back off teams from the box and LOS.

We do need a more reliable possession threat at true wideout. Gallup looks promising but I don't think he'll be where we need him this year. We spent on Hurns, and it's been a bust. With more accuracy from Dak, Austin might be give enough. Austin, Gallup, and Beasley when we need to pass. I think that can be ok. Not great. But ok. Stay ahead of the chains so that we don't need a downfield play to get the first.

This is the only area I give Garrett credit. He’s been part of this rebuilding.

I do think he’s run his course and this young team needs an innovative coach to go to the next level.

If he proves my wrong I’ll be able to admit it while I’m celebrating.

We do stink at those positions. But it could have been fixed pretty easily in free agency. We have this cap space and yet failed to address those positions. I don't think that's smart football.

Look at our idiot GM lol

A certain Seahawk player will be in Dallas next year. That's our Safety...
