This is true. In fact, only ONCE in franchise history have we selected an OL in the first round - the immortal Howard Richards in 1981. I believe that will change this year, though. We must get better backup OL who project to starters in 2-3 years.

1: Rolando McClain - The Demarcus Ware of MLB's

2: Earl Thomas - Playmaker with great range in the 2ndary

3: Anthony Davis - Gives a chance to maybe have our future LT

4: Jordan Shipley - Would be a bigtime value player for us because he can hold, KR, PR, and of course a tremendous slot guy. I'd almost say we need him.

5: Mardy Gilyard - Explosive KR, PR, WR who will only get better with an NFL conditioning program.

Swap Kyle Wilson for Shipley. Wilson looks like a ball hawk to me and he played in a conference where they throw like 60 times a game.

Mike Johnson Alabama, plug in at LG for the next ten years.

4. Kyle Wilson - Cornerback plus excellent return guy that could be had in 2nd-3rd round. Was suspended in 3 games in 2007 for violating team rules so may have some character issues.

I had to dig around to see if that was actually true since I had forgotten.

Having watched the guy play for 4 years down the street, attitude problems are the last thing I think of when I think of him.

If he had character issues I doubt he would of stuck around for his senior year to graduate on time. Not to mention being a team leader.

This kid is as tough a competitor and ball player as you are going to find.

I'm sure I could come up with five first round targets, but I'll try to spread the love for guys who might be a little less obvious.

1.Bryan Bulaga-Like everyone else I too love Iuputi...but to change things up I will choose this prototype LT.
2.Andre Roberts-Small school kid, but runs great routes and has good hands.
3.Brandon Carter-Massive guard with an attitude....sounds like a good combo to me.
4.Torrell Troup-Ratliff type motor but bigger.....how can you go wrong?
5.Alex Carrington-I think you can never have enough lineman on either side of the ball.
