IMO, most or all of the players that go in the 3rd round would have been 2nd rounders in some other years.

Nix is a classic 1-technique/nose tackle. If what Stephen Jones is saying, he is not a consideration. We apparently think 1-techniques are not big enough bang for the buck.

We didn't value the NT with a 3-4 where it should've been a cornerstone (coupled with OLBs), doubt we invest anything of substance with the 4-3 in the somewhat similar 1 tech role. Apparantly the team thought about the move (investing in a real NT..moving Ratliff to DE) but he didn't comply with their passive request...wonder why he thought he could punk JJ later down the line

I heard on the 105.3 draft show last week that the Cowboys have basically eliminated safety from first round consideration or at least at 16 and if that's true, I'd replace Pryor with one of the top OTs like Lewan but I feel like he won't fall.
