Sorry if we've done this before, feel free to merge if it has been but.....

Name your all-time Dallas Cowboys Dream Team. Starters only, unless you are absolutely compelled to include K Mart.

I understand the love, but I was hoping you'd break it down into who you consider to be the very best Cowboy at each position.

I'd start, but I'm at work :p:

QB Aikman
WR Irvin
WR Ismail (sorry he was my favorite second guy) .... Ok Drew Pearson for realz
TE Witten
RB Smith
FB Moose (personally I would go 2 tightends and in that case it would be Jay)
RT Williams
LT Colombo (Yea I know .... sue me I changed his position)
RG Allen
LG Newton
C Stepnoski

Not gonna try the Defense ..... to many to choose from.

Wimp!

I Love your Oline, but I would've definately included Rayfield Wright.

I will play: Since I'm not old enough to remember much of the 80's teams, I stick with players from the 90's and 00's.

I'm assuming we get 2 RBs, 3 WRs, and 3 CBs to compromise the starters)

Offense

QB: Troy Aikman
RB1: Emmit Smith
RB2: Marion Barber
FB: Moose Johnston
TE: Jason Witten
WR1: Michael Irvin
WR2: Terrell Owens
WR3: Terry Glenn
LT:Mark Tuinei
LG: Larry Allen
C: Mark Stepnowski
RG: Leonard Davis
RT: Erik Williams

Defense (4-3 format)

DE: Charles Haley
DE: Greg Ellis
DT: Jay Ratliff (Considered Lett Lett, but Ratliff has more upside)
DT: LaRoi Glover
OLB: DeMarcus Ware
MLB: Ken Norton
OLB: Dexter Coakley
SS: Darren Woodson
FS: Brock Marion (Considered Ken Hamlin but he seems to be slipping as of late)
CB1: Deion Sanders
CB2: Terrance Newman
CB3: Kevin Smith

K: Nick Folk
P:Matt McBriar
PR: Deion Sanders
KR: Felix Jones

How about you learn how to read before you post again.

I'm pretty sure the ability to read is not a problem for me. You clearly stated that you assume you get 2 RB's and 3 WR's to compromise the starters. Including those 5 players on offense plus the QB and OL that is your starters. Anything more, I'm pretty sure that's some type of illegal formation.

If you line up with 3 CB's on defense, then you're running a Nickel package and not a 4-3 as you stated. The problem with your Nickel is you have a SS on the field as well so you're getting flagged for 12 men on the field.

QB-Roger Staubach
RB-Emmitt Smith
RB-Tony Dorsett

Well obviously if you are running a nickel defense, you will have one less OLB on the field, giving you 11 players...In the nickel defense, you have 3 CB's as the starters....common sense much?
