Your emotions during Cowboys games this season?

My emotions every week are like, ok.. when's the next shoe dropping. I'm numb. Indifferent. The Steelers game was a nice reprieve, offered a bit of hope but I never thought much more. All that win did was give ammo to Jerry and the YT content creators to blow smoke .

The Steelers are now 8-3 since . Shows what coaching can do. Tomlin has the pulse of his team and free reign.

I no longer have emotions during cowboy's game...regardless of good plays or bad plays, wins or losses. I have effectively become emotionally detached from this team.

Lots of us are filling our time with something else lol. This owner and front office doesn’t deserve any extra attention or energy.
Exactly, there was a time when my wife would know when I was watching a Cowboys game and to give me my space to check out to the game. Now, she asks me when the game is since she hasn't heard me say anything about it and I seem to always be available on Sundays. My responses this year have been along the lines of I think its later today or it may already be over. I don't even look at the TV maps to see if it is televised in my area.

I expected them to miss the playoffs but I was not anticipating them being this bad

It is hard to be a Cowboys fan these days. Not that the games aren't usually filled with excitement and all. For the other team, that is. But the most fun and exciting thing that I like to do during the game is counting the empty seats and watching for falling objects from the ceiling, that's if I'm not blinded by the sun, through the unshaded windows. What a disaster, what a clown show, what the hell is going on here?

I watch with a blank face and waver between how can actually team be THIS atrocious, to seeking any player who flashes of +NFL quality.

No overstatement here: this team really, really sucks. I mean this is no fluke. This team is horrific.

To be honest, I hate Dak the QB and have basically kicked this team to the curb. I really don't care what happens to them. I will actually watch the game and laugh when the other team scores. The years of emotional roller coaster rides are over. It took a long time to let go and even if they drafted a top round talent at QB Im not coming back.

meh.

thats my emotion.

30 years with no championship appearances had lead to this.
i'd be satisfied with just an appearance.

I’ve watched the Cowboys since 74. This year I’ve caught a few games that were recorded or read the box score the following day.

Could care less and I feel so much better for it.

I’ve come to realize that the Jerry circus is just that… nothing will change…
All of you believing that if they tank this year, get some high draft choices and maybe some FA’s they’ll be on their way to getting better.

They’re not.

Jerrah said it himself that the last 15 years they’ve always been around the rim.

Heck, as long as they remain around the rim and he’s making money… he could care less if they win a SB.

I have learned over my 53 years of being a Cowboys fan that unless you have a team with a true legitimate shot at getting to a Superbowl, don't get yourself emotionally involved. However, that being said...this is THE WORST season i have ever seen including the one win season. The GM is delusional, the HC inept at best, and the players just don't seem to care...so why should I, and I don't. The culture of this team is very bad and about to get worse. We'll get trounced on Sunday and embarrassed by the Giants on national TV. Wait until the sideline fighting and finger pointing starts...it's coming. After the obvious owner and GM change, i have no idea where I'd start. There are so many problem areas and it's going to take a long time to get them corrected and/or improved. You don't change the culture without a change at the top. Sad sad sad.

I am a fan. Of course it bothers me when they give up a big play or do something stupid. It bothers me when they lose, even though I expect them to lose. But my highs and lows are not as severe as they in the past.

But if they win a few more games, I know I will be disappointed come April when they are waiting to make their first pick. They really need a couple of drafts where they are picking early. This team needs impact players on both sides of the ball. Drafting in the top 5 or 10 should make us happy in April. That's what I am thinking after every loss.

But they are getting healthier in some areas. Cooks, Bland and Kneeland are coming back. Even without Dak, this could result in a couple of wins to push us down in the draft order. That will tick me off because there is no point in finishing 8-9 and drafting 17-22. That is a lose-lose. At least if they finish with 11 or 12 losses, they will be in a position to take a top talent.
