We need juice on offense - and these 2 arguably provide the most in the class.

These two guys are going to go higher than people think. Speed kills.

Outside of Jeanty, my favorite guys are Giddens, Harvey, and Jordan James, in that order.

Henderson is my 2nd favorite but I would prefer they wait and double dip later on

Originally I was pretty high on DJ Giddens but after watching more RB videos I am out on him. He dances around behind the LOS too much for me. He is explosive when he gets to the 2nd level, but not sure how often he is going to get there in the NFL.

I would love to see Dallas get Sampson or Martinez than add Blue or Jacory Croskey-Merritt later

I feel like Kaleb Johnson is undervalued because he doesn't have elite speed or elite power. However, ESPN rates him as the most decisive RB in this class. He was fourth nationally in yards after contact and had zero fumbles. In fact, he had one lost fumble in 508 carries for his college career.

Some credit Iowa's run blocking for his success, but this also was a team that did not have a good passing game, so defenses knew Iowa was going to run the ball. He scores. He rips off 20-yard runs.

I'd be happy if he was the second-round pick.

Cant pick 1. I like pretty much all of them besides Kaleb Johnson and probably Sampson after more views. May be a few more I'm not a big fan of but those 2 standout. Especially Johnson.

Always depends on when you are picking. It’s very important to NOT reach for a position of need - especially early.

For example, IMO Jeanty is the only RB with a first round grade or level of talent. The more I’ve studied this draft the more I think Jeanty will be gone by the 12th pick. We MUST follow our draft board and not draft “the next best RB” too early just because we need a RB.

The good news is this is a very deep draft at RB. The important thing for the Cowboys is to follow their board because we have needs at multiple positions.

Here is my (non-expert) assessment of the RB talent in this draft and when they might be drafted:

• Round 1- Ashton Jeanty (only first round talent IMO)
• Round 2 - Omarion Hampton, Quinshon Judkins, Treyveon Henderson
• Rounds 3-4 Cam Skatebo, Kaleb Johnson, Jaden Blue, RJ Harvey, Dylan Sampson, Bayshul Tuten, Ollie Gordon
• Rounds 5-7- Tahj Brooks, Damien Martinez, DJ Giddens, Trevor Etienne, Devin Neal

They are several more for the later rounds.

To answer the question in the OP: “Who is you favorite RB not named Jeanty? My answer: It depends on the round.

The best value for your money IMO is DJ Giddens. Quietly an elite athlete - his agility for a 210 lb back is shocking, and he runs 4.43.

Just overall as prospects, I like Hampton and Judkins, because they're the kind of easy-button power backs that Dallas has had success with for the past 20 years. I don't really like TreVeyon Henderson in the top 50. Kaleb Johnson seems like just a guy.

Breakaway 4.4 runner in both run and pass, and he is already an accomplished pass blocker .

Those types per Barkley, Gibbs, James Cook, McCaffrey, Henry, ..are the electric instant home run threats that opposing defenses fear the most.

As the late John Madden used to say - it's 2 things defenses fear the most - 1) SPEED..... and 2) A Running QB
