I'll take Doc Holiday. I just love the way Val Kilmer portrays him in Tombstone.

There is not just one. There are actually two. I hate to do this because John Wayne is one of my all time hero's but, I have to be honest, the best two, IMO, are Augustus McCrae and Woodrow F. Call.

These three for me.

Crowe was excellent in 3:10 To Yuma. Great movie.

indeed a great movie...but i think the gunhand was the better character.

speaking of gunhands ....Kevin Costner was pretty damn good in Open Range.

I agree with this. I think the gunhand stole the spotlight, although Crowe was pretty good as well.

No love for Butch and Sundance?

For me, it's John Wayne in almost any of his roles. However, Kilmer as Doc Holiday was fantastic.

It was good, but I liked him better in The Quick and the Dead. (spaghetti western spoof)
