What's sad about Cliff Edwards, who voiced Jiminy Cricket and sang this song, was that he ended up being broke and hanging around the Disney studio looking for work. And when he finally died, he was so poor that his body was donated to the University of Southern Cal. Disney had to buy back his body so that it could be buried.
