I'm going with Joe Pesci in Good Fellas:

So many classic lines in this movie and his attitude is spot on.

Tony Montana and it isn't even close.

Yeah, he is great. I wasn't sure if I was going to do another thread "Favorite Drug Kingpin" or if he was considered a mobster/gangster or not. But that movie is one of my favs.

When I think of gangster films I immediately think of the old black and white movies so for the oldiest I'll go with Johnny Rocco closely followed by Rocky Sullivan.

Of the modern films one of my faves is Johnny Depp as John Dillinger.

But my fave gangster film of all time is Once Upon a Time in America. DeNiro and Woods at their finest.

I agree with the OP, Joe Pesci all the way.

But I liked this guy too (if we're counting TV shows).

You are correct, sir!

However, if we are allowed to be broad with the term "gangster", I gotta give some love to Bill The Butcher.
