It's draft day. Bengals call you up again and offer a 2nd for Martellus.

Do you try to get a first rounder for him like what was originally offered, or do you settle for the 2nd?

Next, Someone you really like slips to the 18-22 range. Do you trade a 2011 first rounder,2011 third and a 2010 4th to move up?

You will potentially recieve in 2010:

3 1st Rounders
1 2nd Rounder
1 Third Rounder
1 6th Rounder
1 7th Rounder

My answer: In a heartbeat.

does this really require a answer

I don't why the but I think thats to much to trade

2011 first rounder
2011 third
2010 4th

maybe for Berry - McClain - one of the top OT's

No one would give us that trade. We would have to trade our 2010 2nd rounder, a 2011 1st rounder, and a 2010 4th rounder to get someone's pick in the 18-22 range. The 2011 draft has less value.

I would do it, but no team would accept that.

27th-33rd range??

In 2004, Buffalo traded a 2004#2 (43rd) and a 2005 #1 to Dallas for the 22nd pick (they took JP Losman).

In 2007, Cleveland traded a 2007#2 (36th) and a 2008# 1 to Dallas for the 22nd pick (they took Brady Quinn).

The cost to get a 1st round pick is usually a very high 2nd (which we won't have) and a next year #1 (which in 2011 has less value than normal).

Ah nice to know thanks.

What did the Eagles get in 2009 from the Panthers? Because I know the Panthers got the Eagles 08 first rounder.

In 2008, Eagles sent their #1 (19th overall) to Carolina for their #2(43rd) and a 2009 #1. Panthers drafted Jeff Otah T from Pitt.

So again, a high #2 and a next year #1.

Yes, the Bengals offered their #1 for Martellus earlier this year.

Sorry, love some Marty B but Jerry done lost his mind with that one.

Ya seriously.

It's not like Martellus is such a gamechanger that we'll miss him.

Phillips isn't too far off from Marty B.

There were multiple threads about this when the news broke.

*** I never saw one thread. This is ridiculous. Another brilliant move by GM jerry. If you can get a first round pick from a back you should take it *** sht no matter how late that first round pick gonna be. He traded a second to get Bennett a first what the hell.

It's too bad we can't have all 11 of these players, but the Veruca Salt in me wishes mightily that we could

RB Gerhart Stanford
WR Shipley Texas
OG Iupati Idaho
OT Davis Rutgers
C Tennant Boston College

DT Suh Nebraska
DE Houston Texas
ILB McClain Alabama
CB Arenas Alabama
SS Lewis Oklahoma
FS Thomas Texas

unfortunately, all but 2-3 of these guys are pretty much going to be taken in the 1st round.
