So ... Flo is gone. Shame to see the big guy go.

But, now that he IS gone, what is your preferred treatment of the starting left tackle position?

Here are the choices that I see...
  • Doug Free
  • A draftee to be named later
  • Leonard Davis
Discuss.

Preferably Doug Free.

Bringing in somebody like Vladimir Ducasse wouldn't be bad to have him compete with him.

Free... :starspin :starspin :starspin Dude will be a beast at LT.

Free'll start.

I think we might be also looking at drafting Ducasse or Veldheer if we can arrange a trade down...

It's a huge risk, obviously; really demonstrates the trust they have in Free, considering our lack of depth at the position

I think it's interesting these two guys were released practically the day after the team saw all those prospects at VR

Eh...I felt more comfortable thinking Free would be the RT of the future but who knows...I say draft a couple of tackles in the draft and let them all battle for it.

I have no idea honestly.... They seem to think Free could be that guy.

Would a rookie LT be able to handle the pressure of the NFL? Who knows...

For the life of me I don't get the Gaither love.

Unless he's the second coming of Anthony Munoz I see no point in giving up a #1 for him without giving Free a shot first.

If we could get Gaither for a second I would be happy. Right NOW we have two guys who can play tackle for sure and one guy who was a fairly decent tackle in Bigg but we have NO BACKUPS for any of them. Who takes Biggs spot if he has to step in for Free? I said I was not opposed to carpet bombing OL this draft and now its become just about a necessity.

This argument's been done several times already. But in a nutshell he's a proven 24 year old Left Tackle awaiting a big payday. The Ravens don't wanna give it to him because they can easily slide Oher over to LT and with their track record of drafting OL, should have no trouble finding a RT.

We suck at drafting and developing OL so that's why I'm a big supporter of it. Seems like we hit on every other position except OL.

In b4 casmith gets sand in his panties.

Free
Miracle Last Minute FA Vet
Draft
Bigg (Although he is too slow)

Doug Free is our new LT.

Time to deal in reality.

If reality is the way Free looked against Minnesota...we're in BIG trouble.

I want Jason Fox in the 4th, Ducasse in the 2nd. Have a 3 man race for the LT position, it is to valuable not to invest everything you can.

what if its the way he looked in his actual extensive time at right tackle?

Then we're good. I hope that's the Free we get at LT.
