I've been watching Eagles boards, and they are ready to run him off along with McNabb. What are your thoughts about this? I find it funny. He's been the best head coach I remember the Eagles having, ever. 93-61 isn't bad. So what if he had some controversy in his personal life? I don't think he is to blame for that. I can understand about getting rid of McNabb, but I think ditching Reid will be a big mistake. It isn't like good head coaches grow on trees. We had to go through Switzer, Gailey, and Campo, before we got someone who could rebuild our team, and then even then the TUNA play calling was questionable. I think we got lucky finding Romo, and we are lucky that coaching isn't a problem. But by all means, I hope the Eagles get rid of Reid. :D I'll enjoy them sucking even more with Campo like coaches leading their teams.

I think Reid needs to dump the Eagles and that fan base. He's too good to be in Philly. Plus his class doesn't really fit in with the rest of the city.

I hope they get rid of him, that means rebuilding for the Fecals.

I think Reid is a great coach, and not much of a parent. His downfall is that he was too stubborn to go out and get an elite, long term wide receiver. When he did get one, they went to the SB,. But unfortunately, he found that his star QB could not handle sharing the stage with anyone else, and therefore Reid could not bring in a star WR, without his QB crying like a little girl.

He needs to get rid of McNabb, ne's proven his team can play better without him.

This is true. I wonder how much of that was Reid vs the cheapskate owner.

Philly will not put up with losing long......their fans demand a better product.

Maybe that's part of the problem: their fan's are too impatient. The Eagles have always sucked from my time watching Football; Reid changed that. Also the owners had always been cheapskates from what I can remember. It might not be Reid's fault that they don't have a great receiver. If they don't at least try to get Moss during the offseason, then someone is a cheapskate.

He needs to pull a Tony Damato.

Sign with another team and take McNabb with him. :D

A good coach with a loudmouth, obnoxious fanbase, stingy ownership, and a whiny QB - no wonder he's overweight and his kids are out of control. He needs to get out before that job kills him.

Pretty much agree, except I think a bigger weakness has been his refusal to run the ball. During their best years, they refused to try to improve on the Duce Staley, Corell Buckhalter, Brian Westbrook group, and that's hard to believe.

But he is an outstanding coach and they'd be fools to fire him... Very Eagles-like, in fact.

Westbrook is one hell of a rb.

Sure, but he's not a traditional everydown tailback. Reid could've had Steven Jackson or gone after some bigger RBs in free agency to really pound the ball (and take pressue off McFlabb) but he didn't want to do it.

Agreed, it just goes to show how good a coach he really is if you consider the skill position players he has had during his tenure. Other than Westbrook, and TO for a while, not a single star amongst them and a very average QB to boot.

Well McNabb has only become Average due to injury. At one time, mostly due to his mobility, he was the best QB in the NFC. He's a hasbeen not a neverwas.

What do I think about Pork Chop? Well, let me see...... I think the sooner he leaves Football, the better. I think it's probably too late for his older boys as they are pretty much grown but I believe he has younger children as well. I think he needs to get back to doing what's important and that aint football. Now, more then ever in my life, I realize that your family is always the most important thing. Not saying I didn't understand that when I was younger but I guess I just realize it more and more now that I am getting older.

I hate Philly, I always will. However, they too will move on. They will find a good coach or they won't. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised to see them go after a guy like our own Sporano. Regardless, I think that Reid needs to get away from football and take care of his business. The sooner, the better.

The fact that Philly is the only good place you can get cheese stakes at can't be too good for his health either. You're right, he better leave! :lmao:

I probably wouldn't agree with this. I would say that he was among the top 2 or 3 in the NFC but I don't know that I woudl have called him the best. Still, your point is a valid one IMO.

Maybe. They've had some winning seasons, but never a championship season. I think the fans will settle for 10 or 11 wins per year. As long as the Cowboys, or any other team in the NFC East can get more, then I'm okay with that.

I think a lot of Eagle fans have a high regard for Reid; but I also feel that many of their fans believe his family problems are a significant distraction for him. He certainly has made or not made decisions which haven't been as good as in the past. Certainly his failure over his entire career in Philly to acquire 1-2 really good WRs to help out his franchise QB is a big criticism. Also think he's gotten too close to his QB to the detriment of the rest of the Eagle players who apparently don't see McNabb as one of them any more.

I disagree. Westbrook had 240 carries last year and already has 236 carries this year, tied with Addai for 8th in the league, with the highest average of the to p 12. He is an every down back, he just never had the opportunity.
