Interesting. Just wondering what has caused your expectations to nose dive when we are clearly a much better team.

On paper, I would agree. But we all know in the grand scheme of things that the most talented isn't always successful.

I was not big on keeping Murray for 9 mill. But I also am not too confident in our current situation. I was hoping the front office would try to meet me in the middle somewhere but they really are content in Rabdle/DMac. I also feel like chemistry is one of the most underrated things in football. Although we weren't the most talented last year, you could really tell these guys played and fought hard for one another. I'm not saying that may not be the case this year but Murray, Romo, Witten, Dez, that oline, Scandrick etc really had great chemistry. That chemistry I feel now is a little compromised.

Lastly, just based off history, Jerry talking to the media again has just never meant well for us. He was quiet as a church mouse last year in "Jerry terms." I felt that game against the Saints was very symbolic of how Jerry took "a backseat" when they showed him sitting in the owners box just smiling. He was sitting back and just enjoying the show.

Again these are just my feelings and I know how people are pretty sensitive here. I get an errie feeling similar to the 2008 season. The one thing that's different is I believe in Garrett and I believe his process is in full force. The line has been revamped and in contrast, this season and last could be compared to the Seahawks 2012-2013 seasons where they had an exit in the divisional round, similar to our exit and they came back, made improvements, and won the SB.

Deep down I'm still confident. I purposefully go to games in Dallas early enough in the season so the game still "matters" and this year I'm going to a game in November. So that must say something

I feel like, at this point, either Dallas or the Packers are going to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

Our biggest loss is Scandrick, not Murray. Some will disagree and that's fine.

Anyone with eyes could see our #1 priority was pass rush, and it was addressed as well as you possibly could in one year and exceeded even the homerest of expectations.

I wouldn't be surprised at all if we led the NFL in takeaways and finished top 5 in sacks giving this team an additional dangerous element it hasnt had in quite a while.

Not sure how anyone can be "down" on this team. We're head and shoulders above our division and it isnt really close.

CowboysZone LOYAL Fan
let's get Kam chancellor

Why bother...we could reincarnate LT, Haley, Sanders, Woodson.....from what I just read any improvement on defense is totally moot if we don't have last years run game.

CowboyZone sometimes:rolleyes:

I never suggested that...I'm suggesting this offense will be fine with an average run game..we don't need an elite run game this year...rest of team is way better

I would rephrase what you said with: the offense will be fine with an average runningback. I think with an average runningback the run game will still be elite.

My biggest concern is injuries to certain positions. OT, WR, and RB. I think the improved pass rush will make our DB's more than adequate. Of course, like any team, losing our QB means a lost season. But I think our running game is a go, barring injury. I said in one of the pre season threads, that our leading rusher wasn't on the team yet. I may still be right about that. On ST, I hope some of the players on the roster step up.

Last year I was expecting the worse team in the NFL, this year expectations are very high.

That's my my point . My point is we don't need an elite run game...we will be fine w average...and I'm not suggesting average is what we should aim for...I'm suggesting we are fine

I feel like the chemistry factor is overlooked as well, but the differences between 2015 and 2008 are rampant. Biggest ones are the youth of the team and the focus on the lines now on both sides of the ball. Dallas legitimately has a chance to be the best team in terms of OL, DL play when taken as a whole. That should inspire some confidence.

I can't decide what I think. The PS was God awful. We had the majority of our starters miss time and not even play, at least the stars. We lost a star IMO in 29. I feel like this team should be good, but I am still nervous. I could see us lose this game Sunday night. We seem better on the Dline, but I'm not happy about the LB core until Ro comes back. Injuries, etc. Just a different feeling for some reason....
