My Top Ten:

This underscores the concern on defense.

The Triplets-Dak, Dez and Zeke

The returning oline - Fredbeard, Tyron and Martin.

The ever-scrappy Cole Beasley

Dan "The Man" Bailey

That rookie punt returner that we're all anointing.

Okay, that's nine and not one of them plays on defense.

Sean Lee is an easy selection here but.... an alternate ending could be
Chidobe Awuzie. I am eagerly awaiting to hear " Chidobe makes Rodgers awuzie on a corner blitz".

Well damn. I just realized my goof. I read the title and missed the post.
So, I guess I will replace Bailey with Witten and Switzer with Lee... but
Special Teams is an important part of the game, therefore, it should never
"eevvver" be ignored.

In no particular order....

D.Bryant
D.Prescott
E.Elliott
J.Witten
T.Smith
F.Martin
T.Fredbeard
D.Bailey
S.Lee
B.Jones

Leaving Irving and Jaylon off for the moment while we wait on availability and impact.

I'm glad so far only a few weirdos leaving Dez off the list. If he isn't one of our top 10 players this year things have gone horribly wrong.

Not pleased so many left off Bailey.
OP said not including Special teams

You are not a fan of Dez, huh?
He missed 3 games last season.

He missed 7 games in 2015.

He has always had some issues but seems really unpredictable since signing the big contract.

I expect him to have some great games, but I doubt he'll ever have another great complete season.

Once he starts to lose some of his physical ability, he won't have the route running savvy that most WRs his age would normally possess because he has never developed that part of his game.

The other players on my list just have higher probabilities for being great this season.

The answers for ST was obvious.

Wouldn't we all list Bailey and Switzer?

Why is it always they like Bryant get a huge deal only to decrease in injuries and productions in TD's or receiving year after year? He is not the first nor will he be the last player.

Did somebody take over your account? Maybe I'm confusing you with somebody else, but your posts in recents months seem odd.

His two injuries were pretty random. He's in his physical prime and was much better in the second half of the season.

If he plays 14-16 games in 2017, he will score 10 or more TDs. You can lock that in.

It's the "If" that concerns me.

Another concern is that if Linehan/Dak don't force the ball to him that he'll just dissappear like he has in the past when he didn't have success early in games.

Before 2016 they had to force the ball to him and Romo knew it. In 2016 when he came back from injury they forced it to him and the offense was not as smooth as it had been in previous weeks.

Well, idk, someone listed the long snapper and the punter.
So, probably not ALL of us. lol

I was just correcting my mistake, bud.

Who are your projected top 10 Cowboys players for 2017 not including special teams?

Mine (not in order):
Martin
Fred
Tyron
Dak
Zeke

Lee
Witten
M. Collins
L. Collins
Jaylon
You had me all the way to Jaylon. We don't even "know" if he'll play. I'm going to offer Jones instead. I also wonder about Witten. He just maybe begin to feel the rigors of the game. Bryant may take his place in my list.

X, you are really investing in this season and bringing us a wealth of observations. Thanks.

I'll have to go the 'under card' route here:

Charles Tapper
Anthony Brown
La'el Collins
Maliek Collins
Jonathon Cooper
Charles Tapper
Rico Gathers
Demarcus Lawrence
Chidobe Awuzi
Jourdan Lewis

*(Joey Ivie) and 'baker's dozen' - Taco Charlton/Ryan Switzer

Yes, but if he does it's likely to be at a high level.

Hey, Yuma...how are things going? Hope all in your family, are well.

Going to give us an analysis or two at camp this year? You know that we all anticipate your views there!
For sure CC. I'll be there July 24-29. I'll be posting videos on my youtube and some Periscopes on twitter.
