Go back and rewatch last year.

And then remember how you felt in week 14 this year.

Give me 13-3 every year.

I dunno. I've lived through all the years, and I honestly don't know.

You're probably right, but it's pretty raw to be so close and come out so empty. At least when you suck, you know you suck.

We all know it's a quarterback driven league. Like Collinsworth said closing out the game tonight, follow the quarterbacks for the teams remaining.

3 mvp candidates in Brady, Ryan, and Rodgers, and then Roethlisberger is obviously no bum.
And our guy, a rookie, had a 106 passer rating for the season. Let that sink in. It's amazing

Yeah, they were close. They just couldn't overcome the slow start or handle the pressure of late game clock management.

Just like it's easy acting like you know more about football than Sean Lee?
My judgement of this football game is less clouded than Sean Lee's, as he had much more at stake than I did. He was upset, but if he meant that being down 21-3 was game over like you're implying, he should have sat out the rest of the game.

Sean Lee can say whatever he wants, but his play on the field says your theory is garbage.

FYI: Every year, you're going to be one of the 31 teams that don't win the Super Bowl. Your only hope is to get in the dance every year. From there it's just a game of chance. Single elimination. I suggest you try watching another sport if that makes you uncomfortable.

Any loss in the playoffs sucks, but atleast if we were in the NFC championship thats progress. But I'm tired of the divisional round being a successful season...

Rodgers made a number of perfect throws. No denying he's the best QB in the league. Probably the best player in the league.

OTOH, we had the better team, and were at home. Green Bay had no answer for Ezekiel Elliott, no answer for anything other than to sit back and hope we'd screw up, which we did on a # of stupid penalties. We knew exactly how Rodgers catches teams substituting, yet he caught us for a 3rd down conversion. Inexcusable. Rodgers had nothing to do with Butler's personal foul. Rodgers didn't throw a low % pass 25 yards downfield on 3rd and 2. Rodgers didn't make our offense pass happy when GB couldn't stop EE, even when the game was close early on.

Rodgers is the biggest reason we lost. I would argue the 2nd biggest reason is our goofball HC. 7 years in and a wild card win is his high water mark. This franchise will continue to disappoint as long as Garrett is at the helm.
Guy offers nothing, other than a Jerry buffer. It's literally a team of 2 independent coordinators and a disconnected sideline assistant with poor clock management.

To me why this one feels horrible is I think we out played the packers by a pretty fair margin today and are out of the playoffs.

The reason they lost was the 21-3 hole the defense put the team in.

The game wasn't over at 21-3, which is what you apparently think I said. It is the REASON that they lost, which is what I actually said. In case you're comprehension isn't up to par, those are two different things.

Wait, but then isn't the reason they lost the offensive mistakes that caused them to score 3 while the opponent scored 21.

Never mind. Just come back for the draft.

You must not have never watched the steelers play.
It would be one thing if the bad /good break happened equally accross the board but they don't. The Steelers, Giants and Packers have gotten so many fortunate breaks in big games that there has to be more to it than just bad luck for us. We are never on the good side of the penalty ledger when the playoff games end.

The Steelers never seem to have a playoff game lost because of poor officiating and I think the same can be said for the Giants in recent years. What are the odds that we get the holding call that Pittsburgh got on the 2 point conversion that gave them the game?Ware never got that call and he certainly wouldn't have gotten it in that situation either. Irving gets tackled and the refs swallow their whistle when it happens to us. I guess we need to play better than the refs ref if we are ever going to get to an NFC Championship game again. I can't believe it has now been 21 years and counting. Sad.

Offensive mistakes happen. 3 TDs to open the game shouldn't. Putting up 3 points and no TOs in your 1st 3 drives should not result in being down 21-3.
