Stacy is a good back. I'd offer a late pick for him for sure.

That's why the Rams and Fisher are perennial losers. Draft a RB at #10 overall with a bad Oline. They've gotten great players for their defense year after year and they still aren't much better than the Cowboys D which was put together over a weekend. They got the windfall in the RG3 trade and not much of any change to show for it.

Gurley is considered the best back to come out since Adrian Peterson. It wasn't a bad pick.

No interest whatsoever. Marginal player and asking for a trade after this pick shows a weak mindset.

People are asking Broaddus on Twitter if we should trade a 3rd for him. LOL

Liked Stacy coming out of Vandy. Not sure what happened last season...but he was pretty solid behind a bad O-Line as a rookie.

Some 2013 highlights:

I'd give a 5th or 6th for him. To be our starter? No. I'd much prefer him as the backup to whatever rookie we draft in the next two rounds over McFadden, Randle, Dunbar, or Williams.

He has great balance and he's patient and waits for holes. Sadly, the Rams offensive line didn't provide him with many.

LOL you would give that up for a guy that couldn't hold off Cunningham to start the season last year!

The entire backfield was a big rotation last season. It has been since Jackson left. Why? Because of their offensive line.

He got nearly 1,000 yards behind a crappy offensive line in 2013. A 5th or a 6th (Preferably) is just fine. Think we will actually hit on a player with those picks? When was the last time we did?

True enough. Plus I do not understand why anyone would want a backup RB who throws an insecure temper tantrum after someone at his position is drafted. Sounds to me he is not very competitive.

Wrong Mason took over last year once he was given the chance and ran away with the starting job. Stacy is not good.

Mason didn't get a start until week 7. He had two games with over 100 yards rushing. One of those games he had 29 carries and only mustered 113 yards against the Broncos D. The other 100 yard game came against the Oakland Raiders. His most impressive game was against Seattle where he got over 80 yards. That was it, outside of those games? He had only one other game with averaging over 5 yards a carry, the rest were below 4 YPC.

There was absolutely no consistency in the running game. It has nothing to do with the RBs, it has to do with the offensive line.

Yes, but he looked like he got worn out after handling the ball a lot in 2013. And like what was said before, if he got soundly beat out by Cunningham, no thanks.

Yes I know when he took over. My point is one, he did not relinquish the job once he got it, and Stacy is so bad he couldn't win the job to begin with vs Cunningham. Your willingness to take this guy and not AD is quite the head scratcher.

Fisher and the staff clearly lost faith in him. From most reports he's butted heads with Fisher for quite some time. Hence the Gurley selection. To pair with Mason.

You and your stats are laughable at times. No one was taking about his ypc and it's irrelevant in this debate. The FACT that was being pointed out was, Mason took over the starting role in week 7 because Stacy couldn't get it done (behind the same oline) and has a problem with authority. Yet behind that mess of an oline Mason was very productive.

You don't what to trade a broken water glass for AD. Yet, you want to trade a 5th or 6th for Zack frickin Stacy. You should do stand up!!

I thought that was incredibly silly by the Rams to take Gurley with their pick. with Mason and Stacy I just would've never thought they'd value that pick so high.

But if you believe Gurley is the next AP, then who cares? Pick him.

What's the point of having AP and no one else around him? I mean look at AP lol. He had a far better offensive line and all of those yards he had...he has nothing to show for it.

I just don' tthink that's how you build a team. You are a team that needs starters.....and you draft a guy coming off a torn ACL out of college. Couldn't be me.
