Ross made the team last year, and the staff seems to like him. So he is not some scrub camp body.

No, but he also isn't some top end starter. Average starter is what he is. Might not even be that if he had to play all 3 downs the entire game.

To be fair, though, Martin has been doing this ever since he's been in the league. Trysten Hill has yet to prove himself against top competition.

Sounds like some would have preferred to hear rookies were throwing zack around. It's training camp. The only major news from camp is injuries. The rest is just kibbles and bits.
