If he just MAINTAINS this pace for the next 6 games....doesn't do any better or drop off...he'll reach 1,400 yards in the 12th game vs. Minny.

And the incredible thing is, the way he's taken off, he's still actually getting BETTER every game thus far. He very well could be at better then 1,400 already when the game with the Vikings starts, with 4 more regular season games yet to play.

I was interested in the other six teams that have as many or more rushing yards.
I was surprised to see the Patriots among that list. The others: Panthers, Cardinals (no surprise with David Johnson), 49ers, Bills and Steelers. I don't think of the Pats as a rushing team, especially not with their rotating backfield. But they're quietly among the top rushing teams.

If you looks Dickersons and Petersons rookie seasons, they had HUGE games. But they were not as consistent as Zeke has been in the first 6 games. Zekes first game and a half were crap, but its gotten better and better since.
Question is, will Zeke get some huge 200+ yard games too? Because in the end, to break the record he will probably need to. Unless he can continue into what would be an unprecendented # of 100 yard games.

DOnt see many rookies among the rushing leaders, or even in the top 20, but i guess any 6th rounder could run this well with our line

Take quarterback's Julian Brissett's rushing numbers out of the equation and it becomes less surprising. :)

Some here are giving the OL most of the credit still convinced the OL makes the back despite what happened last season.

Yes, good point. Although a great offensive line will help a back like McFadden pickup 1,000+ yards in a season, it sure didn't prevent us from going 4-12. So the team impact of those yards was weak. A great back like Zeke will get even more yards, possibly 1500+ yards this season and will also have a great impact on the team in the W-L record. His play coupled with Dak's has elevated not only the offense but the entire team. The defense can go out and know that the offense will get points. Thus the increase in turnovers with more relaxed play and taking chances when appropriate. This is why I always wanted to get that blue chip RB to run behind this blue chip OL.

Somehow Dak and Zeke performances have brought some confidence and swag to this team, especially on offense. Can't wait for Jaylon to bring this to the defense with his leadership and same type of play----even if it is until next year.

We used several backs last season and CMike who did nothing for us is averaging 4.4 a carry in Seattle and has scored 4 TD's. McFadden who had a career high in carries last season only scored 3 TD's all season. Zeke has already scored 5 rushing TD's and we have 11 rushing rushing TD's this season which is 4 more than we had all of last season. Zeke has already given us a longer run from scrimmage than we had all of last season and he scored. Our inability to run the ball consistently and score on the ground put more pressure on our QBs. If Zeke stays healthy he'll rush for over 1500 yards and score at least 15 TD's. I argued this past summer with those who weren't happy with us selecting Zeke that he'll be a huge upgrade over what we had and it will give us a chance to get back to the type of team we had in 2014.

Last season we rushed for over 400 fewer yards and had half as many rushing TD's as we had in 2014. This put a lot of pressure on our QBs. In the opener this season when Zeke had a bad game Dak had to put the ball up 45 times and had his lowest passer rating of the season. It's no coincidence we're playing great football like we did in 2014 because we're running the ball so well and it's helped our QB play efficiently despite him being a rookie.

They need to back off on the carries though.

Shame on Garrett for having him out there late in the game last week.

It didn't matter that he didn't start the season he ended up with a career high in carries and did what any average to good back would have done behind our OL. Had Randle not been released he may have had more rushing yards than McFadden. Randle only played 6 games last season and had more TD's than McFadden. After only 6 games Zeke looks 10 times better than McFadden did at his best last season.

Zeke's already had more TD's and a longer run from scrimmage and didn't get chased down. If it was up to some of you we would have passed on Zeke and stayed with McFadden. lol Some of you think it's all the OL when Morris who's a good back has only averaged 3.9 a carry this season on 33 carries because the back matters!

Oh boy.. I don't really want to argue about this.

Yes Zeke is playing great. He is a stud.

Yes our OL can make any RB look good and produce at a high level.

Alfred Morris would have a higher YPC if he played more.
