That's probably because these guys were good for a few years and everyone screamed not to sign them to a third contract. Jerry signed them and they went downhill in a hurry. It's sickening this team gives out big money contracts to washed up greats or avg Joe's who make a little noise in garbage time.
He was signed to his second contract when he was still an excellent player. His first season after he re-signed was very good. He had over 1300 yards rushing. The Cowboys haven’t been handing out huge contracts to washed up players or average Joe’s. Zeke became an average Joe a year after he was extended.

Feel better? Don't you get tired of the center joke? What, fat jokes too passe?

Everyone who makes the center joke refuses to answer this question; what other rb, let alone premiere rb, would have done that? Barkley? Henry? Mccafferey? Not only no, but "HECK" no!
What idiot coach would even dare ask?

So zeke complies to a final, demeaning assignment, and this is the appreciation he gets for his loyalty.

If every running back gets 20 great runs per year, Zeke still has all 20 in the bank...
