Despite least games played!

Ezekiel Elliot: Cowboys
G: 25 Yards: 2,614 TD: 22

Le'veon Bell: Steelers
G: 27 Yards: 2,559 TD: 16

Jordan Howard: Bears
G: 31 Yards: 2,435 TD: 14

LeSean McCoy: Bills
G: 31 Yards: 2,405 TD: 19

Todd Gurley: Rams
G: 31 Yards: 2,190 TD: 19

Let's just hope he gets into no more trouble down the line and he blows these guys out of the water.

Imagine had he played the whole season last year!?! It wouldn't have even been close.

No shock what so ever...just wait till the end of this year. With Williams on board and an unproven receiving cast this team is going to run like the days of the all time rushing champ. Let's keep it quiet because Zeke is lasting until late rd 1 and early 2nd in redraft right now. STEAL

The wr rookies are unproven.

yup people , well some, still question the pick say JRamsey should have been taken..its coin flip guys and IMO we made the right choice..with Zeke back for 16 games it can only help Daks progression get back to 2016 play..

Why discount the receiving yards those other backs get? If you want to compare RBs, you need to view the whole picture and their entire worth and production to their respective offenses.

Last two years
Bell 3800yds/scrm
Zeke 3200yds/scrm
Gurley 3300yds/scrm
McCoy 3200yds/scrm

Zeke should be more involved in the passing game, not just as the emergency dump off. Zeke is our only true weapon on offense, the staff really needs to find ways to utilize him more creatively.

The WR core will have to produce if not then defense will stack the defensive front and make running the ball difficult.

Well tbh I am looking forward to the wideouts offering more help to Zeke than expected. I do worry about the cowboys running Zeke into the ground, esp if the coaching staff approaches gameplanning the way they have the past few years with lack of creativity, and leaning on the raw talent of Zeke, much like they did Murray.

Those numbers are still good. Bell is used more in the passing game than any RB, yet Zeke is still right there with him.

I would say Zeke is used a fair amount in the passing game. The cowboys purpose isn't to use Zeke like the Steelers use bell. I also wouldn't say Zeke is the only weapon they have.

I would think it would be the other way around, using Zeke more in the passing game would help our WRs. No one is scared of our WRs, but they do fear Zeke. Defenses are unlikely to double him out of the backfield and I like Zeke's chances 1on1 with a LB, or even better a DB. It forces the defense to keep an eye on him and contain him, which helps our WRs. It also helps Dak, teams can't use a spy to contain his scrambling, which will give him more room to run.

I still believe Zeke has faired better against top competition than ramsey.

This can't be so. I read on here yesterday saying he wasn't the best. Somebody had posted he was the best in the league and someone else came back and said something stoopid like "except he isn't".

Soooo much chatter on here. Absolutely no one else can hold a candle to him as far as RB is concerned. If injuries don't bite us I think 2,000 yards rushing is very doable and 2400 yards from scrimmage can be there also. Someone can check me but I think he led in YPC and I know he led in avg YPG. He is a boss for sure. DB's don't want to tackle him.

Does most yards define “ best” rusher?

Zeke averages about 2 catches a game, that's not a fair amount, that's just about negligible. If he starts averaging 4-5 a game, then defenses have to adjust their thinking and their defense and that helps all our receivers.

That's good but I dont believe it will be that way. It will be austin and olawale coming out of the backfield to open things up in the passing game.

This always goes over people's heads and olawale seems to be the forgotten FA. The cowboys have other purposes besides involving Zeke more in the passing game.

The only way Zeke is involved more is if the cowboys plans blow up and they tuck tail and get behind Zeke "fully".

Still only a few hundred yards behind bell!;)
