No one is saying that. The holdout was heading into his fourth year, 2019 training camp, if I’m not mistaken. The financial landscape and life expectancy for running backs plays a bit differently than the example you’re using with Micah.
Sucks for runners but that’s the harsh reality. The Cowboys find themselves bending on these deals, so yeah I’m pointing it at them. Hey, at least they cut bait on Jaylon — after yet another glorious decision from this front office.
Though, if Micah finds himself in a similar situation, holding that sort of sway with leverage, I would believe he acts in his own best interest. The Cowboys should do the same.
