The garrett offense is run first, aka 90s offense, so this isn't surprising. We went 8 and 8 for several years until we bolstered that o line and demarco murray had the historic season. We simply don't have any answers in our offense if we don't have a dominant run game. We should have picked up Ajayi for that 4th. Oh well.

Garrett’s offense is absolutely not run first. His whole coaching career was full of abandoning the run and bring totally incompetent at establishing any sort of running game and by the time he was done as OC, they were bottom of the league in play action, use to throw like 80% on first down and were running up-tempo and hurry up offense because Garrett had no clue. All they basically ran in the early years was the delay WB draw.

Of Marion Barber didn’t have an endless motor and hard to tackle, the RG would have looked a lost worse the couple of years it actually looked average.
