Went through and watched every Zeke run. Here's the personnel vs. number of defenders in the box and the package.

D-D Yardline Blockers Defenders Package

Q1

1-10 DAL 25 7 8 12

1-10 Dal 46 7 8 12

3-1 Ten 45 8 10 13

1-10 Ten 23 6 7 10

2-4 Ten 17 6 7 11

2-3 Ten 8 6 7 11

1-2 Ten 2 6 8 11

1-4 Ten 4 6 8 11

Q2

1-10 Dal 25 7 8 21

1-10 Dal 32 7 8 12

2-5 Dal 37 6 7 11

3-1 Dal 41 7 8 12

Q3

1-10 Dal 24 7 7 21

2-4 Dal 28 6 6 11

1-20 Dal 35 5 6 10

1-10 Dal 25 6 7 11

1-10 Dal 37 7 8 12

On 2 of 16 runs, the number of blockers and defenders was even. Both were the possession immediately after the Hurns TD, and TEN wen to cover 2. On 14/16 (87.5%) of Zeke's runs, the Cowboys had an unfavorable matchup (i.e. 8 men in the box).

Zeke faced 8 defenders in the box 100% of the time that the Cowboys had 7 blockers (12, 21 personnel) and twice in 11 personnel, though those were near the goalline.

So can we please stop saying that Zeke isn't running into difficult defenses? There is not a single RB in the league who can have success doing that (see Gurley two seasons ago).

Kudos on the work. Zeke is in a tough situation, but he's got to ride this out like everybody else. This is the year of stacked boxes for Zeke.

Like I said, trading for cooper was not going to help. Dallas could have traded for moss, Irvin, Rice in their primes but until the passing game beats them deep and i mean beats them like 8-9 in the box and 70 yard bomb a couple of times the defense will continue to key on Zeke. This offense is made prefect for defenses everything stays in front of them the secondary does not have to cover large parts of the field.

Nice work and spot on. Although most of us knew this from the 'eye test' on game day. Anyone putting this on Zeke has got NFI. The guy busted off 96 yards in the first half against a stacked D.. that is some serious talent.

Then we only gave him the ball a handful of times in the second half as we tried to 'ride' Dak to victory.. the result was a foregone conclusion at that point.

Well, Cooper gives them the juice, so to speak, to allow them to consistently beat those boxes. Now - or at least in a couple weeks - we'll know that the coaching, QB, or both is the problem.

Last night is a prime example, Titans were getting gashed and were playing a balance defense, Dallas kept throwing short throws and the defense tightened up and it was the same old same old, crowd the box and run and pass into the teeth of the defense.

3rd and 1 from the 45 on the 1st drive should have been taken to the end zone.

Dak Prescott is an absolute terrible QB. Teams don't care who we add for weapons. Stop the run stop the Cowboys. That simple.

We are a running team and all we run is 50 gut, have some damn creativity, Can we every run a sweep or a misdirection, we had one draw that was good last night.
I think this team with Dak should run Navy's offense, triple option. At least try to change the narrative every once in a while

Then why is the score 21-14 with 4:30 left in the 3rd quarter?
B/c I copied the wrong one like an idiot lol. My bad. Even still, that's not a play that's going to the house - contact at the LOS and then the DB had the angle on the sideline.

Yeah, where is this track star? He has nothing but end zone ahead but can't pull away from 26. Those are the ones against stacked boxes you have to take advantage of.

He was tripped behind the LOS, and the DB has the angle...expecting a TD here is a totally unrealistic expectation in today's NFL.

He was tripped earlier in the play. He's back up to speed. Hell, the DB is still in the process of changing directions when Zeke is running by him. 2016 Zeke scores 6 on that play.

No, not before the DB is running. DB has already started running laterally and Zeke is still tripping.
