I listened to several responses by Zeke in interviews over the last few days. There is no possible way i can say for certain how the last season affected him as far as maturing, or treating this career seriously. I don't believe any of us can.
But hearing him respond to a question asked "If you weren't suspended for 6 games last year would this team have been a play-off team?" it appeared to me he is at the very least showing a more reserved side to his nature.
His response (paraphrased) "I don't know, but sure would like to think we could have made the play-offs."
Now this might not seem much, but there was no braggadocios aspect to his comment, nor arrogance in his voice.
This may not be a big deal, but it occurs to me he may have matured a bit, understand his career and financial status requires his being an adult and not a kid. And to some degree he is pissed about last year and is ready to show the entire world what he is about.
I admit this is conjecture, with a big slice of wishful thinking. But something does sound different from him and the hi-jinx he showed early in his Dallas career is either cleverly disguised or he has turned a corner.
