I apologize in advance if this is negative or unproductive boys, but with each additional snap I watch, I miss watching Zeke more than I anticipated. And I don't mean that from the standpoint of hating on our other backs as Morris in particular has done a great job, but I enjoy watching Zeke as much as any player I can ever remember.

That said, as an NFL fan who has been watching since the mid 90s, I cannot remember a back that I thought was as good as Zeke. IMO he's the Aaron Rodgers of RBs. Who might top him in peak ability over the last 20 years (NOT longevity!).

That also got me to thinking, since the crop of Dallas SB winners retired or faded, who is the best Cowboys' player? When I ask that, I don't mean career wise or longevity, I mean who has been the absolute best player at their healthiest AND best.

My list of best players since roughly 2000:
Zeke
Lee
Romo
Ware
Dez
Witten

You forgot Gavin Escobar. Dude was a beast.

You really missing 4.1 a carry that bad!

The other guy is producing at 5.4 a clip.

I know, they let him because the don't fear him blah blah.

Stats can be deceiving.

Zeke's 45 first downs and 7 touchdowns are significant more production than Alfred Morris' similar stats.

The fact that the passing game has devolved while Morris has produced should tell you how much of an impact Zeke had and how much they're letting Morris run freely.

Yea I remember back in the day when Hambrick was averaging more yards per carry than Emmitt and idiots were saying he was better and he was the future and all that.

And then Randle was going to get some of that meat that Demarco left out there.

Again...perspective is important. All you have to do is watch both backs play and the answer to who is better is damn obvious.

Dime a dozen

Romo and Barber my favorite players since 2000 for straight up excitement. The couple years Barber was rolling was awesome. For me, Zeke has not been in the league long enough to be considered for any all time list.

My top 5 (since 2000)

Romo
Barber
Dez
Ware

Hambrick was one of the trash Emmitt was talking about. lol

It’s demarcus Ware at the top. He played every snap and was in every practice for almost a decade. It’s not even close

Ware
Witten
Romo
Tyron Smith
Martin
Dez
Zeke
