Dunno, if he was on the roster, it's more than likely that one of the other receivers wouldn't have been, so theoretically there would have been a spot for him.

All the other WRs on the roster contribute on special teams units. If Crayton is not in the 3 WR sets and he doesn't contribute anything on special teams, how he is going to play enough snaps to warrant a game day activation?
 
I am pretty sure he was busy preparing his post-game comments to do anything on the field.

Again, as before, this logic is flawed. If Crayton were here, Hurd or Olgretree would have been gone. He absolutely would have been active.
