Firing the defensive coordinator 6 games into the season is ridiculous even for a dysfunctional organization- be it without parsons and d law. Saying he shouldn’t have been hired? that’s fine. entirely different story. Even McCarthy shouldn’t be fired at .500 with a coaching record of 47-25 here.

Should he have been relieved in the off-season? There is a legitimate argument but I don’t agree either of those firings right now would fix issues. The organization had a terrible offseason constructing the roster and so far have been killed by injuries, a defensive system that isn’t working- and a coordinator that likely shouldnt have gotten the role.

If someone gets fired it must be on the offensive side. The offense looks like garbage. No one can get open with these poor route designs. Blocking schemes are terrible. Jerry making them run Zeke is terrible. 2 guys making 90 million this year looks like a poor investment for the next 5 years.

Cowboys need a spark from something like a trade, firing or a benching.

MM is a good overall coach but we all know that the front office failed him by how they handled the offseason by not signing anyone that can help the team, signing players they do have to mega deals instead of restructuring and the hiring of Zimmer.

MM never had a DC with a bend but don’t break defense since his first year at GB. If MM does get fired during the bye or after the 49ers, Zimmer can’t be the coach either.

Which concludes that MM will need to have to take control of the defensive philosophy and go pass heavy for now on to have a small chance of keeping his job. The Cowboys have a 60 mil qb that he was looking forward to get whether it was from Dallas or another team. Let him earn it and throw away the obvious run plays.

The worst part is we have absolutely handicapped the next coach that comes in here. We had an opportunity to stock pile picks by ridding ourselves of Dak, trading Lamb, and trading Parsons. We've resigned 2 of them and Parsons will be the third. There is no draft capital, limited cap, this is not an attractive job.

The way this game was coached and played, I think MM wants to get fired. He is probably sick of Jerry being cheap in FA and forcing Zeke on him this year.
He may want to get fired so he has a head start for the possible Jags, Panthers, and the Giants HC vacancies. He knows, in order to get extended, he would have to at least make it to the NFCC game.
He also knows there's no way that's happening with the team he's got this year.
