Posts: 166 Tony Romo is Spoiling us and Still Making Progress (Amazing Career Stats)...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We all know how awesome Romo is - But did we realize just how awesome (from a stats perspective that is).

I found and put together the stats from www.pro-football-reference.com

Note that Romo is also the leader amongst Career QBs (not just active QBs in many of these categories).

I'll just wait until Romo has the 1,500 attempts to add those in as well. But for now.....

Romo INT Percentage has been getting better every year:

2006: 3.9
2007: 3.7
2008: 2.6

Romo's TD Percentage is getting better every year:

2006: 5.6
2007: 6.9
2008: 7.0 <---recalculation after this game (was 6.8 before)

Sack percentage going down every year as well:

2006: 5.9%
2007: 4.4%
2008: 2.9%

Romo updated Season Stats:

103.1 Rating
8.53 Yards per Attempt
7.0% TD percentage
2.6% INT percentage

Romo's Career Stats among all active QBs:

Career QB Rating - Active QBs: Romo is #1
Career YPA - Active QBs: Romo is #1
Career YPC - Active QBs: Romo is #1
Career - Active QBs: Adj Yards per pass attempt: Romo #1
Career - Active QBs: Net Yards per Attempt: Romo is #1
Career - Active QBs: Adj Net Yards per Attempt: Romo is #1

---I'd also like to note that Romo's near 65% career completion percentage combined with his Yards Per Attempts and Completions is just completely out of this world!!--

Romo's escape ability and his tendancy to make big plays downfield on the move will lead us to a victory in Pittsburgh on Sunday!!
