Twitter: Zuerlein isn't getting enough credit and Falcons ST is getting too much blame

Yes, and it drove me nuts how conservatively the offense played those last 3 plays before the kick. Very reminiscent of Garrett.

But the aggression until that point was such a breath of fresh air.

It didn't bother me. We wanted to run the time down and knew 46 was well in his range. Obviously, they would have liked to pick up a few more yards, but I don't think they wanted any incompletions or, even worse, turnovers.

There are times to be conservative, and I think it was the right call. Of course, if Zuerlein had missed that kick then it was the wrong call. ;)

Because there's no reason for the Falcons to wait for the ball to go 10 yards. Only the Cowboys have to do that. So that knuckle ball would've been a loss if they were playing a smarter team. How is that a great onside kick? It was a very lucky gift from the opposing team.

What's getting lost is that Zuerlein still had to make a 46 yd fg. Well within his range; however a 46 yd fg is not a chip shot.

You're exactly right. He still had to execute.

And he hit it right down the middle.
