Again lets not misstate what Burrow said. In that very interview all he is talking about doing is restructuring his contract which is NOT taking less. Dak has restructured multiple times and likely will multiple times during this deal. Burrow even says IN that interview that Eagles paying everyone seems to show that it is both possible and a successful formula.

Fact is SF did surround Purdy with as much talent as Hurts has and Purdy didn’t win a Super Bowl. Perhaps a contract similar to Hurts’ is appropriate. Not $60+ million AAV.
They are more likely making some moves early this year. They will have plenty to spend.
