Agent's Take: Cowboys should call Parsons' bluff with new deal soon

`Of course he should do a new deal now. Just as he should have with CeeDee. But for some dumb reason Jerry likes to wait as if he is playing a long shot hoping it will come in this time.

Nonsense!
Stephen and Garrett pushed him into releasing Dez.
Not only was it obvious but well publicized!
NONESENSE, is you believing you were there and somehow involved in that conversation and know the facts..nope nobody really knows what decisions are being made by who up at the star.. BTW Dez was washed and it got done no matter who pushed it . Nolan fired, Jalen released, hard decision on Zeke , ware and many others like not reinserting Romo in 16 , all tough and you can be anti-Jerry all you want,

it GOT DONE

and for all you know it all I'm going to say it again you have 0 idea you have no clue on who may be this decision,

but they were made and people say that Jerry won't do it won't release a coach for the long amount of years left on his contract won't release a favorite player of his in the middle of a new contract money he's done all these things..

I mean Tyron Smith a lot of people said that was a dumb move they were thinking this dude had life left and he didn't he cut him and guess what tyron has one good game early on in the season looks OK and then boom just washed Jerry was right and if you think it was somebody else in Jerry's ear well that's their job literally this is a group effort it's a corporation there are many layers of management everybody gets to have their say and in the end if Jerry does it Jerry wanted to do it..

You guys are even having current conversations about who's making the decisions on when contracts can get done early too late and you realize that how ridiculous it sounds when you're not there you know the agents and the players are playing hardball they do these things they drag these things out if they don't get like their first demands then they're not going to be talked into or tricked into a contract that doesn't fit what they believe their representation tells them they deserve and then sometimes they're waiting like CD lamb people up here keep saying that this is all Jerry waiting too long and he doesn't know what he's doing no he doesn't have full control of that This is why players have lawyers representation groups that tell them three years down the road what the market probably will be and they are not being tricked into taking a six year deal instead of a three-year deal or take 10 million less 'cause they sign early they understand the business now more than ever. So you can blame Jerry all you want I look over there at some other teams it's easy to go look at Cincinnati Bengals right now they got three top dudes who are way late on signing contracts they're gonna want market setting money and they haven't signed a single one of them at least Jerry got his done he did two of them last offseason bi....u may not like them but they got done. he did two of them last offseason big ones you may not like them but they got done

You all cherry pick all this ,

if it was a good thing it wasn't Jerry it was a bad thing it was all Jerry and you don't realize it's always been a group effort it is in most corporations and most sports teams have a big group and they have meetings they talk they make many different suggestions and opinions from the top to bottom from the draft of free agency it's all a group effort if you don't believe it too bad because I know you don't have a red phone and I know that you're no part of the star any more than any one of us we get our information from the Internet which is very flawed and mostly great because it's full of hyperbole rhetoric just opinion they hear things and then by the time telephone gets done at the end it's all out of whack no one will really know the truth unless they were in the meeting you're not in the know, you're not in the know..FACTS

Lol,
It was obvious Garrett and Stephen were the ones pushing Dez’s release!
It was obvious Jerry was resisting it for weeks.

His agent won’t let him play on the 5th year option. He’s the guy that negotiated D. Watson’s deal with Cleveland. If his client’s efforts don’t warrant a contract with substantial guarantees Parson’s will never put on a Cowboys uniform again.
He’s not gonna walk away from that much money but it would be a massive mistake to do it. Make a deal now for two reasons, it’s cheaper than it will be next year and you do it gefore watt sets the market. Two, it’s the right thing to do for the team financially because it could lower his cap hit this year. And it doesn’t hurt to, for once not turn every deal you do into a pissibg match that Jerry loses every time

Really good article about Parsons and a new deal.

Agent's Take: Cowboys should call Micah Parsons' bluff with new deal soon before star seeks full market value

Dallas can't wait to sign Parsons as the bar will surely be raised for non-quarterbacks, particularly edge rushers, this offseason

Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons isn't shy about expressing his opinions. Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor, who redefined the outside linebacker position, gave Parsons some unsolicited advice a couple of days ago. The three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year suggested that Parsons should focus more on football and less on podcasts.

Parsons, who is scheduled to make a fully guaranteed $24.007 million in 2025 on his fifth-year option, has had plenty to say about his contract. The 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year raised eyebrows last December by opening the door to taking a hometown discount. "I feel like you see a lot of times 'highest paid,' then we say they don't have weapons, or they don't have this," Parsons said. "So I would rather just be in the best situation, you know? At that point, I don't think there's a big difference between $30 million and $40 million in my eyes, you know? And that's just me talking."

The more time that passes without Parsons having a new contract in place as his peers get paid, the greater the chance that his frustrations with a lack of progress prompt him to seek his full market value. If this happens, it wouldn't be a surprise for Parsons to become the NFL's highest-paid non-quarterback, whatever that may be.

Hopefully they call hos bluff by trading for MG too if we're going to do that!

Other teams already hard at work, and we are sitting here wondering when we will have the first and second highest paid players in the NFL. This is Jerry and Cap Boy's main focus this offseason, because highest paid players apparently mean you're "shocked" if you don't go to the Super Bowl.

Let's face it, he's just another elite talent DAL will waste and he will NEVER get a SB ring.
