Are the Cowboys about to enter a dark decade?

so that is what you would do and if anyone disagrees they are a fool? fans make me laugh "if only they did what I want they would be great" and your background is in what?
That is a very strange response. Doesn't fit my post.

There are many many posters on here who have been more right than Jerry over the last 30 years.

Are you referring to dumping some older talent to get resources? Are you aware that that's exactly what all successful teams have always done? Did you like the Herschel Walker trade? Honestly, the personal attack is just not necessary.

Yup, the sick ones being those who cannot handle the truth and so cover everything w/ rose petals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Obsessed with complaining about everything Cowboys no matter what they do.

Tyron Smith, DLaw, Zack Martin, LVE, Sean Lee, Ezekiel, Prescott, all retired or less effective due to age/injuries. Taking the average or counting in unproven rooks is not the way to consider the age of a team.

Now, I did like our last draft and think we found some good young players. What we should've done is dumped some old talent to get more resources. That, however, takes a heady GM, not a drunk groper.
Our last Draft was ranked 26th by NFL.com.

Or obsessed w/ pathetically attempting to proclaim that a horrible situation is good.

I'm a homer by nature, and a very positive person. The ONLY reason I'm negative right now is due to the horrific job our GM is doing. The people who are actually negative no matter what are a tiny number. Your observation skills are not good on this.

Lol Don't be so hard on yourself. Jerry is an expert snake salesman.
That's where the nuts have a problem, listening to Jerry. I wouldn't pay much attention to what he says. It won't be long and the keys will be taken away and assisted living at the Star will take hold.

Is picking at 12 horrible? Is being focused on getting a good running game a bad thing? Is having Parsons, Lamb, and Tyler Smith in their prime giving us a dark time ahead?

With Philly on top of the division and Washington sadly on the up and up, it feels like there’s definitely an avenue where our team becomes the basement dwellers of our division! Heck who knows even NY might hit on a top draft pick and be better than us too. We’ve been relevant over the last so many years but relevant isn’t good enough! I fear this team is about to enter a dark decade and finish with 3-6 wins soon. Maybe not next year but very very soon.
Could see that.
If Dak's play continues to decline against the crappy teams, we will have sub .500 seasons.

3 players does not make a team, so it might.

No. Not sure why you're asking. 12th is fine. The more toward the front is better.

Good running games are highly important. Almost as important as DT. If we go into the season w/ Mazi and whomever starting at DT, then the running game won't matter.

I want to point out that I liked this post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what do you mean? 2024 was a disaster yet 3 seasons in a row (21,22 and 23) of 12 wins now all of a sudden we are bottom of the barrel. I guess 49ers are in the same boat. No doubt there is much work for this team to take of if they hope to be competitive
What do you mean...what do i mean?

Every year.."all in", "we like our guys", "bestshape", "doing everything we can". And what changes? Nothing.

12 win regular season, eh? Is that your bar of success? That is what we aspire to for greatness?

Getting embarrassing bounced right on out the playoffs....kinda erases that "accomplishment" and we're left with the sour taste all off season long.

I am never concerned with what other teams do nor compare us to them. just our own legacy.

Your last sentence is about right....you are admitting we've never really been competitive when it matters...not for a LONG time. What has jerry done during that time to alleviate your "pessimism" THIS year?

Phillys was ranked number 1.
All too often I've seen those right after draft rankings shot to hades. Did you know DET was downgraded for taking Gibbs and Campbell? Mostly, the media ranks drafts using the wrong barometers. Remember the 21 draft when we were told we knocked it out of the park? Yeah, how'd that Kelvin Joseph in the 2nd pan out. Parsons has been great, Osa has been serviceable, and the rest? Bleh.

To add: As usual, Jerry built a team to win regular season games against bad/mediocre teams. And we fail in the playoffs EVERY YEAR due to the same things. Jerry appears to be incompetent to fix it.

i was joking around. I happen to agree with you.
Did you see Michael Irvin's response to Qak's we're close quote.

According to Mike he's talking about the light at the end of the tunnel. But, according to Mike, they haven't even found the tunnel yet. They are still walking around in the woods patting walls looking for an opening.
