Are the Cowboys about to enter a dark decade?

skins may have sucked.
but the eagles didn't.
my point is alot of this roster won the division in '23...only 2yrs ago.
its not some ridiculous idea that they can or will...again.
Honestly it is ridiculous until they turn the page on Dak. Things are only going to get worse for the next few years.

Is picking at 12 horrible? Is being focused on getting a good running game a bad thing? Is having Parsons, Lamb, and Tyler Smith in their prime giving us a dark time ahead?
No. It’s the other 50 guys on the roster. 49 if that pick at 12 works out.

With Philly on top of the division and Washington sadly on the up and up, it feels like there’s definitely an avenue where our team becomes the basement dwellers of our division! Heck who knows even NY might hit on a top draft pick and be better than us too. We’ve been relevant over the last so many years but relevant isn’t good enough! I fear this team is about to enter a dark decade and finish with 3-6 wins soon. Maybe not next year but very very soon.
The remarkable thing is that teams can go from worst to first in just one off season in the modern salary cap era. And teams lose pieces every year that either strengthens the team or weakens them. We are no different. If Jerry and son want to they can get this thing routed on the up and up. It is the want to that they seem to lack. But we will wait to see if that changes. Internally it has to gauld their collective butts that not only a division rival won the SB but with one of their own former coaches helping drive it to the pinnacle.

The fix to Dak's situation was always available but Cowboys management has no foresight whatsoever. You would think that, after the 1st time, they would have learned

Draft a quarterback every third season so that when the starter's contract ends, they already have a QB entering his 2nd season. I'm not talking about drafting them in the 7th round exclusively. They have to look for prospects every round.

There are always plenty of veteran free agent QB's almost every season as well. There are some out there right now that may be on the same level as Dak, although it doesn't matter now.

i disagree.
we will not win any conference titles or super bowls because our gm isn't going any where.
but when healthy, this roster is capable of having a winning record and winning the east.
they did it just 2yrs ago.
they've proven that is the absolute most they can do.
when fully healthy, thats all i expect them to do.
this is a much better roster than what garrett had his last yr here...or anything campo had.
when healthy...this is a over .500 roster.

Well we'll just have to agree to disagree.

Kinda funny compared to last off-season's rhetoric about how we were assured to be Division champions.

No I love the Cowboys and a life long fan however my life does not revolved around the NFL and if it made me as miserable as it appears it does you then you are a fool to continue to support what you can't stand? lol really it is you that has a problem. I'm doing just fine
I enjoy watching them lose what few games I watch every year. Do you still support this team financially in any way?
