Are you up or down on O this season?

Don't see much coming from the O this year. Doubt if Dak stays healthy, questionable OLine, no WRs aside from Lamb, not sure we have an OLT on the roster. RB looks like a mess. TE? Don't know.

2026 season.....if they want to do it right.

No sense whatsoever to even risk his complete recovery with a 3rd place roster this season.
Probably the smart move. But if by some miracle they look like a real team and are in the mix in November, I think they'll have a hard time keeping him off the field. It's unlikely, so he should be fine.

No doubt the guy can play football, but he has had two serious injuries requiring surgery, with the last one being quite significant.
I think he will be a Sean Lee-type player; great to have on the field and is a difference maker, but just can’t stay healthy.

Overshown had surgery Dec. 18 to address ACL, MCL and PCL tears in his right knee. He said his recovery timeline is nine months, not ruling out a Week 1 appearance, although the timing and severity of his injury mean it won't come as any surprise if he isn't ready for the start of the season. The 2024 third-round pick had a fantastic rookie year pre-injury, starting 12 of his 13 games and recording 90 tackles, five sacks, four pass defenses, one interception, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. Overshown even had four games in which he played every defensive snap and four others at 85 percent or higher, earning a three-down role within the first month of his pro career. Would be almost like having excessive talent at the position for quite some time so I'm up on Overshown this season even if he is not ready by game 1 his rehab has been positive.
Cowboys recovery times are usually longer than what is stated in the media. If they said his recovery time in 9 months, I am pretty sure we wont see him till early November and then they may hold him back until after Thanksgiving.Like all things Cowboys, assume the worst and be pleasantly surprised.

He might be a depth guy for a few years before he has to retire.

I expect nothing from him.

If you saw the marketing strategy they used yesterday, you're for certain he'll be put out there in 2025 at some point!!!!

To me, he has way more potential than most think. It's just a matter of putting him in the right scenarios. Makes me wish Dan Quinn was here.

First thing is first, he has to rehab his injury and be physically ready. But if anyone can come back from this injury, it's Overshown.

Real down on Overshown. He looked like he might end up being better than Parsons. He was having a Pro Bowl season until the injury. He had 5 sacks with a pick-six. I don’t see him returning to the form we saw last season after destroying his knee. Even if he can come back and still look pretty good he won’t stay healthy. He’s Sean Lee all over again. Too injury prone to have high hopes for him.

I love the guy but his game is built on explosion. I am not sure how bad his injury was. There are degrees. I think he is going to be off for the first half of the season and maybe starts to get back to normal by end of the season. I hope I am wrong but it might be 2026 when he is totally back to normal.

How can we expect anything out of him at this point? Give it a year off and see I suppose, but I have no clue how he can come back from that injury at close to 100%

If he misses the entire 2025 season that will be two full seasons missed in his first three seasons. That would stunt the development of a healthy player who hasn’t battled serious injuries. Overshown has spent more time rehabbing injuries than practicing football.

down.
I don't think Guyton is any good at LT. Steele is going to continue to suck and we don't have Martin replacement.

assuming we draft a RB, how much better running game is going to get? and we don't have answer at #2 WR and TE is a mess. Dak is 32. coming off injury.
not looking good.

both washington and Philly are ahead of us. our best is 3rd in the division. this offense will be average.
You obviously never even read the post before you commented.

I'm just waiting anxiously for O to return to play for his team. It's no fault of his that he got injured. Let's hope he's committed to working tirelessly for his return to health. His level of talent is greatly needed.

I am neither up or down. I'm somewhere in the middle I guess. Anything we get from him is going to be gravy in 2025. Anything more will be an unexpected surprise.

yes. and I am also down on Overshown. the use of only O threw me off as I am mad at this team in every which way.

and O, after second major, major surgery. he has been on the bench more games than has played. doesn't sound good. doesn't look good. has potential to be a decent starter, but can't stay healthy
