Dez with Garrett shade

Wouldn’t have had to make nearly as many acquisitions if you don’t switch defenses.
Right, but it's about the quality of the acquisitions. That has been the problem. Elvis Dumervil was the top pass rusher available in free agency in 2013, when we signed Selvie. Dumervil signed with Baltimore and had 9.5 sacks that season. The next season, he had 17 for the Ravens. In 2014, we totaled 27 sacks.

Now, Baltimore played Dumervil at OLB, but he had shown in Denver that he could play RDE. We were cheap so we got players like Selvie and Mincey instead.

Don’t forget about our leader, Benson Mayowa
I didn't mind the Mayowa acquisition. He was a young player that looked like he was up-and-coming. My problem was that the team was counting on their low-cost gambles paying off, which they rarely do. We'd gamble on a player who showed some potential or on a veteran coming off injury instead of signing those players as depth and allowing them to show they deserved to be more than that.

One of the contracts that showed the front office is the problem more than any other was when we signed Gerald McCoy. We knew there was a good chance his right quad tendon would rupture because we included a clause in his contract about it, but we signed him because we could get him cheaper because of it.

Might have been different if the idiot that owned the team was willing to “switch” head coaches. Every Cowboys failure is 100% Jerry Jones’ fault because 100% of the time he has the power to make changes and doesn’t make them.

Garrett didn’t make the decision to hire himself as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are only as big a loser as Jerry Jones.

If I remember correctly Lawrence broke his foot and Spencer’s knee needed micro fracture surgery.
Don’t remember Dumerville ever being a realistic option.
Selvie had been on the team as a backup in 2013. Mincy was supposed to be a stop-gap until Lawrence was ready to start!

To an extent that was on Garrett. He’s the one who had the biggest hand in switching back to a 43 and doing a complete defensive line rebuild when he had a rapidly aging and increasingly often injured QB!
That 3-4 experiment didn’t work.

Eh, Garrett should of been gone after the 3 8-8 seasons, but he's not the main reason.
Is Dez still close with Jerry? Cause that's the man that hired Garrett, kept Garrett for a decade and also decided to tie one of his hands behind his back when it came to building the roster.

Captain Cabo? Weren’t Romo and Witten the originators?
Yeah they were. Pretty emblematic of the toxic culture. Witten might be a HOFer though. Romo was a good QB. Zeke was probably the most talented but partied himself out of league.
